How do you know. He ain't played for them yet. What's the big deal? Ok so he is a talented player but Chelsea aren't brilliant even with him. They just got beat by Southampton.

Is it though? Or is it that the players we wanted for those positions were not available this window despite us trying hard for them? But we are going to leave ourselves short again if injuries and suspensions pick up, which invariably they will. Yes we have made some good signings but we didn't invest enough across the whole squad. This is because we do not have the capital behind us.
Because he is still a kid and he is a centre back. How do you know. He ain't played for them yet.
Why were we not looking for alternatives? We have scouts don't we?Is it though? Or is it that the players we wanted for those positions were not available this window despite us trying hard for them?
He didn't get a minute for Inter tonight, we obviously have him tied up already... ?I hope people dont get their hopes up with Bastoni joining us either.
Do find it strange he hasn’t played every game. He’s played 50%.He didn't get a minute for Inter tonight, we obviously have him tied up already... ?
Oh boy... You don't think we did when we got our new French centre back? There's your Bastoni alternative right there. Why were we not looking for alternatives? We have scouts don't we?

@Ghost Hardware you’re clued up on this stuff usually mate.

You mean stop gap. A loan with no option is pointless. It's like being a market tester for the newest High tech gadget. If its amazing and its a one off someone richer will buy it. If its rubbish you won't want to keep it. Barca will sell to the highest bidder. Simple as that.Oh boy... You don't think we did when we got our new French centre back? A year is a long time in football. Other CBs will emerge.
Would you want us to buy a player that Conte didn't really want just because we couldn't buy our main target or would you prefer we get a stop gap for a year who Conte is satisfied with who can do a job until hopefully our main target is available? You mean stop gap. Asset has a voice mate. If he only wants Spurs then no, he doesn’t go to the highest bidder. You mean stop gap. A loan with no option is pointless. Contracts get a year shorter, other players come to the fore. Come on mate you know how things work, a year is a long time in football and tons can and will change. So why do we think they will be available and come to us next season. None were exactly dying to come to us as it was this season. We've been here too many times before. I'd rather move on to plan B. Then hope for plan A for a year and then end up with plan D because B and C have been snapped up. Plan A bastoni plan b Gvardiol plan C bremer. 2 are no longer options. What Happens if Bastoni doesn't come next season?
Upset?!Anyone not upset by this clearly has never watched him play. Bloke looks absolutely fucking mint, with outrageous stats to back it up. He is/was our number one CB target for very good reason.
I knew we were not going to be able to compete for his signature, but I'm still pissed off about this.
As already been explained by the ITKs a hundred times, Conte and Paratici do not want to sign players that are not quite what they want for the sake of it. The ones they want probably will be available in a window two, then (as you should already observe), it would be hard to get rid of these stop gaps. Why were we not looking for alternatives? We have scouts don't we?
