Hire a coach who actually enjoys working with young players and we might start making some progress, on tonight’s evidence, they’re pretty good.

Still in it. Would try Richy, Kane, Deki and Danjuma from the start in the return leg in the hope of creating more.

You can pick and choose the players but it is the system that is shite. Asking Son to drop deep and play as if he is Zaniolo through the middle is nonsensical. We did not create.

i think we caught milan off guard, they couldnt have realised how totally inept our defence is right now

Can't see us scoring at home I'm afraid. Not if we keep playing like this. Not got much faith left in Conte, but then again I've got zero faith in Levy to get the right man in either.

Such a pity we didn’t go for it as we have the players for this, so frustrating as AC Milan were there for the taking. Their GK looked weak even before he went over on his ankle: surprising we didn’t get more shots on him. Ah well the positives Sarr and Skipp, Emerson also had a decent game again. Just hope in the second leg we put their GK under more pressure and go all out attack. There’s no away goals rule as well! Got to gamble surely and change up the approach!? COYS

Got to add Sarr for a 20 year old looked so composed again, so much maturity and composure. I can see one day a box to box player in him when he plays in a system which gives him this freedom. Proper excited for him and Udogie next year as well! COYS again!

All is not lost after that. Seems like a sub-par performance but not a disaster.

We've squandered the momentum out of the City game and the close of the transfer window. That should have been a pivot point, but instead we crumpled at Leicester and left ourselves on the brink here. We need some positivity to regain momentum, but it's not been that type of season for us so far. Two London derbies at home up next in the league....

People will have probably noticed I will very harshly criticise the senior players when they don’t perform well as they have no excuse but I am more than happy to be patient with the likes of Kulusevski, Skipp, Sarr, Devine, Porro, Spence and Udogie. Skipp and Sarr are an example tonight that the talent is there and they just need time. Some of our senior players have never had the level of talent these young guys have and I want them gone very soon so we can build around these talented young players

Main take-away from that for me is that we should be at least solid in CM with Skipp/Sarr when needed. They did perfectly well away from home in the CL and we're still very much in it.
