Levy will never keep his nose out of the footballing side, never.
That's the single most important problem.
It was obvious from the start.

It’s one dimensional. That is the sole focus of supply, with 2 players on each wing in a full back and Wing Forward you make yourself less predictable.I'll admit I've never watched that Atalanta side, and I do know Conte's Chelsea played some decent football from time to time, but I think the tactic has been found out in the modern game......the system is so reliant on the wing backs. Once that threat is shut down you're usually overrun in the midfield and nothing gets to the forwards.
As much as this is true pretty much every owner in world football is the same. Fans are naive if they think Levy is the only owner who acts in this way.
It's valid in the sense that you can operate a successful club without one, which is not the case for a manager. The role was invented relatively recently. The great managers throughout history haven't operated 'under' a DoF.Exactly the same way a good manager is valuable and a crap one isn’t. Like any job there are those that are good and bad at it. One can’t write off the importance of a role just because in the past we have hired some that weren’t good at their job.
The role of DoF is invaluable and a staple in pretty much every top club around Europe. In fact I can’t think of many top teams that don’t have one. And considering who our chairman is it is a role we need. No we shouldn’t just employ anyone but we shouldn’t just employ any old manager ether. I don’t see the argument that there are bad DoF’s out there so we shouldn’t get a DoF as a valid one.
That's utter rubbish mate, he's got involved because that's what he does. Paratici wasn't sanctioned when he jumped in feet first over Spence, and FP is only sanctioned in Italy. As for him being incompetent, could you explain what your evidence is for this during his time here? Imo he's been doing a very good job both in what we can see and more so behind the scenes. He has been a big part in the upturn of our youth teams for instance, and has brought in some very good players. There is also a reason Levy has had to get involved again, because our Sporting Director isn’t actually doing his job and is under investigation with a likely ban coming.
Paratici’s player ID in some cases does seem good but unfortunately he’s pretty much incompetent and off the ball in most other areas.
didn't we have to veto Gattuso before nuno? That's utter rubbish mate, he's got involved because that's what he does. But if Poch performs the same as he did in his first season, hed be likely sacked on the back of it. That team wasn't significantly worse than our current team.
Oh come on.As much as this is true pretty much every owner in world football is the same. Fans are naive if they think Levy is the only owner who acts in this way.

I think the extent of such would vary considerably to be honest.
Of course all owners will be hugely in control of what is going on regarding finances for incomings etc
But I'm willing to bet they're not all promising one thing at the outset and then manipulating the goal posts on down the line.
What's naive is to believe Levy isn't guilty of this, way more so than most, because he's the real common denominator in our on going mess surrounding manager fall outs
Waiting out his contract to sign for Utd….What’s Harry up to these days?

Agree, Paratici being involved in our next manager hire is a big concern. My question with Paratici is his managerial choices seem well odd. Unless I am mistaken we where going for Fonseca then he came in but he didn’t want him and we ended up with Nuno. Is his vision aligned with the fans, for an attacking progressive manager long term becuase the impression is he wants more defensive football but that is only an impression it might be wrong.
In regard to the player purchases he seems to be doing very well, can’t complain at all.

And still people think a DOF will change things. Still! It was obvious from the start.
