I think so, this is how they played in Scottish FA Cup final

I'm not too overly excited by any of the Celtic links but to be fair both Wanyama and Van Djik came from Celtic so there are obviously good players within that league.

Yes, at Celtic. But he's played different systems everywhere

Hetate played one of the 8s and would get forward. He played 45 matches in all comps last season and finished with 9 goals and 11 assists.

As others have said and from the few times I see him. He is one to pass and move quickly, the ticker of the squad to keep the pace of play fast and high. Lots of one two touch passes and smart movement before/after

Agreed. I'm not overly fussed by Jota as well for some reason.. but I would say out of the Celtic players linked, I'd be most interested in Hetate.

I think his skill set is different to what we have now, he's 25, and he stood out for me in their bigger matches. Seems to always want to get on the ball.

Hatate is the heartbeat for the Celtic team.

I think he has the skill set and ability to make the step up.

IMO obvs.

He looks a good player though I have read that he can be a bit up and down and sloppy with his passes.

That said, as much as the step up to the PL is massive, we should also consider that he would also potentially be surrounded with much higher quality players like Kane, Kulusevski, Bissouma etc. This could raise the level of his game.

He is also like Mitoma in that he went to University so started his football journey later than most. This means that despite being 25, he's probably more like a 21/22 year old in terms of where he's at in his development as a player. Where as with most 25/26 year olds they are pretty much fully developed as a player, there could be a lot more to come from him.

I think obviously legs will be needed for the 8 role. But also an ability to score goals/strike the ball well, which is what we currently lack.

Obligatory YouTube video (lol)

But yes, from what I've seen and read he is practically two footed, very comfortable on the ball.

I think it's interesting in his history that he's played CM, LW, and LB at different times as well. To me, it's always a good sign that he could work in multiple areas, although sometimes that's bit us

If we're not in for him, I would not be surprised to see Brighton end up with him as a replacement to MacAllister

I think we as Spurs fans and English football fans in general need to evolve past this eurocentric view players are only "proven" once they've played in Europe (preferably one of the top 5 leagues).

Football is a global game and as Brighton has shown, you can pick up players directly from Japan, Ecuador, Paraguay etc and they hit the ground running. Worst case scenario, they'll need a few months to a year to settle and get acclimatized.

Supposedly in his contract that he can move to a Prem side for £3mil, don't know how true that is though.

Great player.
For that price it's worth it even if he ends up being underwhelming. We could probably still sell him and make a profit.

There are a few players to clear out before we'd go for him though I reckon.

Definitely worth a punt at that price, and I can't imagine his wages will be high either.

Just looked in to it, depending on where you look it says he's somewhere between £12k-£20k PW, regardless nothing we couldn't affordably triple if we really wanted to.
