Azzedine Ounahi close to joining PSG. Small details remain. He would join in the summer. Achraf Hakimi has played a key role in the transfer

This guy was first to break Qatari investment stuff so clearly fairly reliable.

Wellllll....not quite. He seems to get good info relating to the Qataris but his transfer story record is very meh to say the least.

I think Paratici has a great eye but this seems really risky to me. Not a single goal or assist this season in France and we would expect him to come in and be able to play as a creative midfielder at a high level in the prem?

If we were to go for him, this would feel more like an Udogie/Sarr type signing. IE one we would loan back for the rest of the season, i just don't see him coming in and playing a big part in our season considering his age and physique. Could be wrong of course but its just the vibe i get.

This is how I feel about it. I feel like it'd be a signing that stays at his club until the end of the season. We'd then have a lot of CMs at the club but tbh it would be a pretty decent mix between "now" and future" - Bentancur/Bissouma/PEH with Sarr/Skipp/Ounahi as your hopeful future CMs. Some really high ceilings for the second three on what they can become!

Then we can go into the discussion of whether Conte stays/goes and what type of club we want to operate as in terms of playing time and development, but that's probably for a different thread and time - it's also a conversation that's been beaten to death ?

He has a Bentancur feel to him - long, lithe, can progress the ball from mid to attack. This is all based on the World Cup (never seen him otherwise). But I agree that it's hard to see Conte endorsing this move given he's never done it at a bigger club before.
