I am watching with Spanish commentary as Sky does my nut in. The only annoying part is when a goal goes in and it’s ‘Goooooooool’ for 20 seconds. Still beats Neville.

I feel like I am watching a different game to some. I feel like we are playing well but obviously up against a better team than we have played so far. The atmosphere has been good too with the crowd loudly singing. We have made a few sloppy mistakes and Liverpool have countered us well.
Our passing has been nice but we’ve been wasteful with the few chances we’ve had in Liverpool’s box. Something needs to be done about Porro. They’re targeting him with cross field balls and it’s working every time. We’re sitting ducks unless we change it.

“His foot slips”.

You’re still responsible for your own body.

If you slip and bring down a player in the box, it’s a penalty.

If you slip and knock the ball in your own net, it’s a goal.

His foot rolled over the ball which is why it hit Bissouma’s shin.
And? Thats a career ending tackle. If players are going to go into challenge like that they opening themselves up for that kind of outcome. Its a red for *me* everyday of the week.

The pundits keep going on about intent, it makes no odds with a tackle like that. Letter of the law is its red.

Intent implies the ability to read minds. That's why it's not in the law. Plus I'm going to best most pros in 2023 aren't intentionally trying to hurt their opponent. It doesn't mean they can't accidently put them in danger.

I'm nervous about Udogie.

I know he played well on a yellow last week, just can't help but think he might get caught for a cheap yellow today

Fucking hell. Rather than cover the actual kick off, there's a McDonald's advert and Redknapp and Neville still wanging on about that offside. Why is it there has to be an inquisition whenever something goes against Liverpool? Fuck off.

I still can’t work out what Udogie got booked for! Can yellows be overturned?

What Neville wants VAR to do is not explain, but to admit they were wrong! Fuck off neville

Also, and I readily admit I may not be up to speed with current technology, but I somehow doubt VAR is able to discern what players were thinking at the time of their fouls.

Udogie fouls first min of the second half. Will probably need to sub him unfortunately before he gets a red.
