This is brilliant, it was only the other day I was questioning the sottish signings in the Johnny Fleck thread, I said who's next, McGeady!! Quality, won't happen though, why would you swap Keane for him.

while I don't think we'll sign Villa - if we did seems likely that Keane would be on bench rather than BEnt

and I'm not sure how committed JR is to Robbie given his fondness for subbing him -

I wouldn't be utterly shocked if Robbie leaves this summer. Ramos used 2 types of striker at Sevilla - and Keane wasn't one of them. I honestly believe that if we somehow end up with Eto'o or Villa, Keano may well be saying his good-byes to the rest of the lads.

We could end up with Eto'o and Villa as a front pairing, step back from your keyboards and just think about that for a few minutes, then pinch yorselves.

If Berba leaves I wouldn't put it past us to get Eto'o and Villa. Something very odd is going on.

Where are the midfielders/defenders though?

Very true. If we end up with two strikers ahead of Robbie in the pecking order - eg 2 of Berba, Eto'o and Villa - then I would expect Keano to move to a club where he is guaranteed to play every week and where he will be a legend. Celtic fit the bill perfectly.

Robbie has competed with, and seen off, Defoe and Bent, to become a first team regular, and has scored a shedload of goals in the process. If he's one of our first choice strikers next season, I expect him to stay. If he's not, I wouldn't be surprized to see him go.

Meanwhile, from what I've seen of him, I don't want McGeady. He has a couple of tricks, but I don't think he's a Top Four player.

Yeah, I don't was McGeady either. He seems to be one of those players that are built on media hype from a few very good performances. Certainly better options out there for what he'd cost.

Keane's lifelong ambition is to play for Celtic and Liverpool. I can tell you that for a fact. Is it too soon for him this ummer? Possibly.

Nevertheless, he feels Ramos has two groups: indispensible and dispensible. Keane thinks he's quite definitely in the latter group for this summer and if Spurs can get 'better' he thinks he'll be on his way - whether he likes it or not.

I watch McGeady every week and he is absurdly overrated. He's a one trick pony and has proven himself to be out of his depth in the Champions League.

I'd love Robbie Keane at Celtic, but I'd hate for Spurs to be landed with McGeady. He's another Liam Miller, quite frankly.

The bloke knows his stuff. I've heard Keane wants to play for Celtic at some point too. And I've also heard that Sunderland sign Irish players. I've also heard of McGeady being good. Imagine if I could somehow link it all together...

i understand Robbie going to retire, then join Celtic,he coming to the peak of his playing power and he going to play in the backwater that is the Spl.
How much does he get paid 60k a week,Celtic will get the biscuit tin out for him to play against Killie, iverness, falkirk,st mirren etc.
There is this myth because your Irish, you much want to play for Celtic, their are more Man utd fans in Ireland in fact more support Liverpool and Arsenal than support Celtic.
The ferries and planes are full of them every week!
As for Mcgeady,13 million pounds for someone, Novo had in back pocket and hardly got past Broadfoot.Your having a laugh!

You're mental if you think Celtic are behind Man U, Arsenal, and Liverpool in Ireland. In fact, a study showed that Celtic had the 5th biggest fan base in the world. They were behind Man U (who were first), Barcelona, Real Madrid and (I think) AC Milan.

You have to remember that Celtic are considered the official Catholic team. It's stupid that religion should be at all applied to football (being an atheist, it actually pisses me off), but that's how it seems to be. And their fan base has gotten even bigger since Nakamura signed.
