This....Dele earns more from Nike than from Spurs at the moment. This is one of the reasons, Levy will try to keep him inspite of mouth watering world record bids. With a stadium naming rights discussions going on, he needs star players at the club.

If he goes he goes. Nothing more we can do about it other than trust the process IMO.

I just hope that humans in general start to understand the "pursuit of more" is sometimes not in your best interest. And that that 55k a week is actually really good money and the 100ft yacht you spend your summer on is just as good as the 300ft yacht Ronaldo is on.

Dele, if you are reading this. Enjoy your place, understand the project you are collectively working on, and ride the wave. People will remember you for far longer if you build a team rather than jump ship to Real or Bayern.

Cant see why he would want to leave right now. He is going to be a key figure in the england set up, n the prem. Has a big deals with adidas, beats by dre, and EA.

Club said Bale won't be sold and he was sold in subsequent weeks. So, words don't mean anything and there are no guarentees. So, when Poch says he cannot guarentee, I guess thats the reality.

If we get a 100m+ bid and If we cannot convince Dele to stay, then we will sell him. If we sell, Club gets 1/8th of the stadium cost through Dele sale. They may reinvest like Bale sale or use it for stadium and reduce the loan interest.

Or on other hand, Levy sees the value in keeping Dele with naming rights discussions on going and give him record contract and appease the player & the sponsors.

Both scenarios are realistic. But what we cannot do is dwell on these rumors and get bothered by it.

As long as Poch stays, every single player (bar Kane) is replacable. Don't get me wrong - Alli is an incredible young player - one of a kind. We wont replace him directly but could replace him with a combination of players with complimentary skill sets. But key is Poch. Poch stays - I don't care if Dele wants to leave or not.

Yeah - let's be brutal and honest - Spurs a much bigger club than City.

We have more fans and a better stadium (from next year, we will play at Wembley).

City and Chelsea are shitc@nt clubs who would Undoubtedly no way get out players without ££ owners

True, City couldn't even sell their semi final tickets, we could have sold 90,000 on our own.

I wonder whether Dele might not turn out to be a Pienaar or Siggurdson type - an absolutely perfect fit for us, but not able to transfer that performance level to another club?

Well, the prospect of trebling his wages might be a pretty strong reason...
Anyone who doesn't think that's a factor to players is being incredibly naive.
If we don't offer him wages in line with our competitors, he will want to go, sooner rather than later.

the media is really keying in on us --- see how they took Poch's comments out of context from the PC today re: Alli

i don't think that happened, did it?

the only concrete statement i can remember the club giving over a player was modric and they were true to their word as they rejected all offers that summer despite him pushing for it. obviously he went the following year but they didn't say he was staying forever, just that he wouldn't be sold in that window.

Here you go. This is what Poch said about Alli. He was generalising when he said you can't guarentee anything. I bet Dele is with us next season:

Can you guarantee Dele will be here next season?
I cannot guarantee nothing in life. The most important thing is to try to enjoy the present. I'm so sad [about Ugo] - don't think too much about the future. In the future we will take the best decision for the club. Because after nearly three years you can see how the team is always improving every season and always our decisions at the moments and so far have been good.

Trust in the club that we will take the best decision for the club to try to achieve things, to improve next season again. That’s most important that we care a lot about club and now please we must focus on the present and try to help the team and club to be there if Chelsea drop points and it will be special if in maybe the last season at White Hart Lane we win the Premier League.

It's important we have six games, it doesn't look like many games, but it's a lot of games in three or four weeks and we must give our best, big efforts for all of us for the players to try to focus, don’t think about holidays, rumours or what will happen next season.

Adrian Durham on talksport was running with mass exodus from Spurs this summer "he is hearing" probably form a bloke down the pub I expect, but it naturally ended up mostly about Deli and if someone offers to treble his wages he will be off, all I could think was if someone is ready to treble his wages then they must be willing to pay way more than the current record transfer fee.

Exactly...personal terms will be the least of their problems.
If he goes he goes, but someone's getting their pants pulled right down if he does.
