Let's not forget the glazers use utd as their personal cash machine they certainly don't subsidise it. They have a big squad on big wages and the thought of getting 60m for a player the coach won't play is likely to appeal to them. I'm not sure Jose is 100% in control over outgoing transfers it sounded like it wasn't his choice to sell sneiderlin. I'm sure they wouldn't sell one of his first team from under him but could be tempted to cash in on a squad player.

Would Man U string us along so we take our eye of the ball with other signings? Or is that a very dangerous game to play being so unprofessional?
I think Levy is smart enough not to fall for any games ManUre might play. He has been doing this for long enough now.

Since when have Manure or Maureen cared about whether they do anything professionally, they do what they want regardless of legality, professionalism or whatever to achieve their means

Give 'em Rose. We are looking at several FBs (Aurier, Toljin (?), Tierney) and even I think we'll get one. If this is who
MP wants and he's happy with the trade, go for it.

Yup, i'd take the opportunity to get rid of Rose too tbh, he's on borrowed time anyway. Would be a real shame to lose both Rose and Walker same window, especially given how we played our best football (largely due to them) the last few seasons, but he's become poisonous ... take the opportunity and get rid and bring in Martial i say

Sends the wrong message to let Rose go. All a player then has to do is disrespect the club/players to get the move they want. It would have to be an amazing deal for us to justify it and good as Martial is, it would leave us high and dry at left back. I know Davies has improved a lot but he still gets absolutely shredded by pacy wingers.

It's strange, for the last couple of seasons our fans have been saying how underrated Rose and Walker are yet now some are acting like losing them is no big deal. I worry it could leave us closer to Arsenal and Liverpool in that we'd have a great attack but a shaky defence. Given our defence was such a strength last season, I'd be very worried about any kind of step back in that department, losing Walker is bad enough.

Also that Toljin(I can't spell it either now!:D) guy went to Dortmund, I believe.

Is Martial really that good that we would sacrifice our 2nd FB of the window to get him? I'm not sure. I would love him at the club. But at the expense of Rose? No. Unless of course Poch has had enough of Rose and he's going anyway - then in that case - screw him and sign Martial!!

So...

Oh and forgot re Martial......

"His agents were pimping him around, but Yanited have no want or need to sell. The only way we get him is by giving them something they want/need, and they don't need money. Last I heard we were not prepared to give away the family silver".

French international winger Jose?

I guess the way I would look at this is......

If giving them Rose is the only way to get Martial then personally I would do it, BUT only if I knew we were getting another LB in as well and I don't see that happening. Even if we added Sessegnon, to me he's more of a winger than a LB and even if we saw him as a wing back, it wouldn't be right to throw him in this season.

I also like Ben Davies but Rose is still far better and Rose back in our starting 11 makes us a better team.

With all that said however, none of the above matters if Rose and Poch's relationship has broken down and the trust is gone. IF that is indeed the case then I would prefer that we let Rose go, especially if it helped us acquire Martial.

Agreed.

Would sooner give them Dier than Rose.

No. He's for sale. His wages are 100k euro, and he would cost less than Martial.

Liverpool are after him too

Yes, and If he leaves PSG we'll be outgunned when it comes to wages. Whether that's by Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Arsenal or Utd, it'll happen. His stock is too high for us to even be in contention.

Forget Martial and go for Draxler that's a more straightforward transfer
Reports that PSG are close to signing Mbappe would surely make Draxler even more available - but there's going to be a very long queue of clubs looking to sign him if that is the case.
