In other news, Mark Lawrenson thinks Liverpool will win everything (including the World Cup). He shares a glory hole with Phil Thompson you know.

Ironically, a Modric type player and a Bale type player are exactly what we need. Obviously don't need to be at that high a level, but damn could you imagine our current team with those two in it? We'd be one of the top 3 or 4 teams on the planet.

Them two in the team with a fully fit defence and the league would be ours our midfield could do right now with modrics passing ability.

I think every team could use those two. They are incredibly class players with unique skill sets every team like Barcelona, Bayern, PSG, etc. could really use them.

Newcastle, Everton and West Ham are traditionally tough away games.

Think they will be later this season as well, hopefully, once they bed in and their squad depth comes to the fore (for Everton and West Ham), Newcastle are tough due to the ground, but also think Ashley will be forced to back Benitez if they are top half come January.

Burnley and Swansea easy home games?

The Wembley thing has already crushed our league title aspirations IMO, Utd and City have teams fearing them at home, whereas we have teams coming to Wembley knowing if they keep it tight we get nervy after 30minutes or so.

Really, really hope I'm wrong of course.

We've had 5 games there and lost once. Against the PL champions.

Yeah I realise this makes me look a bit premature, but we are already what 3points down on last season at home (if we win every other game this season = 53 points out of 57 last season), yet we were still short last season, so we would need to theoretically win every home game, plus add two away wins we never managed last season.

Our away form so far is better though. A lot better.

Two seasons ago with a really young squad I decided I really didn't give a toss where we finished. We got 3rd

Last year I thought we might have overachieved getting 3rd with the young squad and I'd be happy with whatever. We got 2nd

This year on general principle Im going to enjoy it one game at a time and see where we end up.

Well, even if we do "struggle to make Top 4"... we won't struggle as much as the Scousers.

What is wrong with these pundits....as others have said, Wembley is only stopping our chances of the title. Top 4 is achievable and was my aim for this season.

Joke that they think that.... What's to say we can't turn our away form into our home form from last year?! Based on current evidence, I think so, ya mofos!

COYS!!!

I think we have a side that is too good to continue the poor Wembley form, some sort of law of averages will see the home form pick up. I dont for a minute think it will be as good as WHL and last season was amazing and hard to replicate.

Other teams will drop points, Chelsea have just lost at home to City for example. The top 4 mix will be there for us which I think we will achieve. If the last few seasons are anything to go by then we will improve as the season goes on so that should see us in the title race.

After the same games last season we had the same number of points. Our home results are worse but our away form is making up for it. Once we settle down at Wembley we'll be flying. I think we should treat Wembley as an away game, we'd do much better!

Just realised we'd be joint top if we hadn't drawn against Burnley and Swansea, quite disappointing, imperative that we get rid of this whole Wembley thing against Bournemouth.
