Number of season ticket holders around us not there yesterday, and for first time ever a number left ground before end because of the lack of effort/entertainment on the pitch and it was bloody cold.

Despite the low attendance, we still got stuck at all the barriers down Wembley Way last night - it's no wonder people get fed up travelling to this soulless place.

And it's bloody annoying when you are held behind the barriers for an inordinate amount of time whilst seeing empty space and steps in front of you at Wembley Park plus having some git in a blue bib on a loudspeaker on the side saying be patient!!!

May only have been 45k but was a lot more than we would have had at WHL in a normal season for a match like this

I didn't go last night for various reasons, one of which was my 2 children were off at Christmas do's & I think Dec is like that, too much going on for big crowds, unless it's a particularly attractive game.

My colleague is a Brighton season ticket holder who couldn't get a ticket for the game as he didn't have enough loyalty points and they were only allocated 2000 tickets.

Why can't we give some non away teams (not West Ham, Chelsea or Arsenal) a bigger allocation for midweek games?
As much as I agree with your sentiment, there are probably two main factors:
A) You want as small a gathering as possible for the away team to prevent them being large enough to massively influence the atmosphere/game.
B) It's probably a reciprocal thing. If we can't expect more than a couple of thousands away ourselves, why hand the opposition a gesture/advantage that won't be reciprocated?

Don't we also ask other teams how many tickets they want to a certain extent?

You know what they say about statistics?

Do we count people ATTENDING or tickets sold? No way have spammers averaged 57k ATTENDING

Why 8pm ko instead of 7:45 that 15 mins makes all the difference to me home at 01:20 instead of midnight.

There was an accident on M25 around Enfield during rush hour traffic around Enfield cheshunt and Waltham abbey was filth
I don't know if that affected it?

Did'nt get home till gone one this morning because of that accident, it added over a hour and a half to my journey time, traffic was a complete nightmare.

Acording to reports, they did'nt fully re open the M25 until nearly 5 am this morning.

The bigger the ground, the more people can pick and choose between which games to watch. I'd say those 46k were pretty die hard - not at all bad given the time of year and weather. Back in the days of terraced grounds such as the old WHL, it was common for big teams to average 50 or 60k, but there would still be a significant number of games with circa 35k, nearly always midweek games nearing Christmas or when the weather was awful.

Because otherwise they fear they'd have people who wouldn't be able to make it to the ground in time from work (remembering that the advice is to arrive at the train station and start walking towards the ground an hour before kick-off).

That must be awful for you. Luckily for me I'm sat in front of a Uefa Badge Holding Coach who gives deep meaningful insights into the game throughout as well as offering constructive criticism to every player whose touch doesn't lead directly to a goal. I think Spurs are actually grooming him to take over from Poch. I hope he lives.

I can only assume you must be sitting on the same row as me, because I've got a once-in-a-generation football mind behind me too. I've heard a lot about his "move it forward quicker" theory. I can't quite get my head round it myself, but can't wait to see it put into action. Also, someone needs to tell our players to stop doing bad passes, and this guy seems like the man for the job.

Wembley is a freezing cold shithole and I was getting leaked on despite being in the top tier well under the roof.

However I've been to every game that I could physically make it to so far this season, and I intend on doing the same until May.

I realise that is what people think but the official site article I revered to stated Attendance 55,124, so why put it down as that and not tickets sold. Having already announced the attendance @ 46K.
I'm not disagreeing, I'm just trying to understand how the club can give 2 differing figures.
I was at game until the final whistle and didn’t hear them make any announcement about the attendance. It felt fuller then Apoel, which was apparently around the 40k mark, so I would say 55k sounds about right.

I was offered a ticket for last night but I hate Wembley. It is a nightmare for me to get to and boring. Can't wait to get back to WHL and I'll be going to as many games as possible.

Pretty sure most of our match-goers live in London and take the tube so shouldn't be too bad.
