Pretty sure most of our match-goers live in London and take the tube so shouldn't be too bad.

Don't think thats true at all - Herts Essex even Sarf of the River plenty from further afield I think the support of Spurs is probably the most disparate of any of the London clubs in that a much smaller per-centage are London based and those that are comer in from North East London and beyond where you need a train to get into the tube system

I think anything above 30000 wil be a great crowd on Boxing day

Surely it will be one of the higher attendances on boxing day? Early kick off, bank holiday... 70k+ gotta be??

I'd say spurs is better supported in the counties rather than London itself.

London is more arsenal and Chelsea.

you ****s don't know how lucky you are - 8pm kick off is 4 AM in the morning - then I had to troop all the way down stairs 'cos it wasn't available on my ipad in bed. FUCK!!!!!!!!!! Freezing cold, middle of the night, 25 degrees, shivering with the crowds* on the stairs coming down to watch. It's so fucking late I never even got back to bed - went straight to fucking work at 0630 - you've never had it so good being able to go back to bed at 0130 after a game.

JEEBUS!!!!!!!!!

*(there were no crowds on my stairs by the way)

I was there but to be honest it is a drain getting to and from Wembley and it is a shit ground. I realky cannot wait till we are home.

Good luck to Chelsea dealibg with it for 2-3 years!!

Was looking at it yesterday and tbh it isnt too different from London Stadium. Miles from the pitch.

So basically I think it is mainly Wembley

Yeah but did you have to stand next to a Brighton fan on Wembley way talking shit about Spurs, while it started pissing down with rain?!

For me it’s simple, Wembley is a complete **** to get to and from, particularly midweek.

I live in Bristol and didn’t mind getting home at 3am after Dortmund and Madrid even Apoel, I didn’t mind getting back too late to see my kids after Liverpool, Chelsea and Swansea (actually I did after Swansea, that was shit) but for Brighton, midweek, in December...a bit too much! Suspect many others felt the same.

Working in East London and it's mostly United fans. You'll get local fans for the smaller clubs like Palace, Millwall, Brentford etc., but Chelsea's fan base is in Kent and Sussex, whereas Arsenal's is scattered like ours around Essex, Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

London is just crawling with United fans and plenty of Liverpool fans to boot.

I can't imagine you'd get back too early from White Hart Lane either. I don't think anyone questioning the relative low attendance should question those coming from Bristol. Unless we are stating we are relying on attendances in excess of 36,000 only if we can get fans in from that distance and beyond. First and foremost, we should be aiming to fill the stadium on London based fans alone numbers wise. Not that I'm saying that all aren't welcome wherever they travel from.

No, I didn’t get back early from WHL but it was easier than Wembley. The issue with WHL was I could never get tickets and I expect a lot of people here were in the same boat. This year I have the luxury of being able to pick and choose my games a bit more and I think like others, wednesday was just not that appealing.

Do you think we’d have got many more turn up to the new ground for the same fixture?

Wembley = soulless dump that's a shit to get home from, simple.

Unless you live in Clapham junction like me and it's a piece of piss to get home from. That doesn't cancel out all the other negatives though!

I went again Wednesday and the atmosphere was rubbish. I sit behind the goal and nobody there was singing. So if the area which is meant to make the most noise can't be bothered it's always going to be a shit atmosphere.

White Hart Lane was way more difficult to get too and from than Wembley. Wembley has 3 tube stations and 4 train Lines!
I lived in Harlesden for 30 years and rarely went to the Wembley area because it was such a ball ache. Crowded, slow traffic. It was basically 3 miles away but not worth the hassle. In that time I travelled back and forth to Tottenham like I was popping out to the shops. Guess when it comes to regular attendance you don't even notice the journey anymore.

I think once we are in our new home the number won't be yo-yoing so much and we'll get a more settled regular number going. This year is a bit fucked up but if you're a Spurs fan and complain about Spurs playing in Tottenham then the problem is yours, not the clubs.

You’re right, this year is an exception.

I’ll never complain about us playing in Tottenham, and living in Bristol is very much my problem!

When you work til 6 or 7pm it’s not exactly an easy thing to get to Wembley (or even WHL at a push).
