Being away from home I would be tempted to start with PEH, Sarr and Maddison. Just think we need to make sure we don’t lose the midfield battle in the early stages.

So this is the start of a really tough run of games.

Considering that it is now looking highly likely that 5th place will achieve a CL spot, then the team should be congratulated in opening up such a strong gap with manyoo in 6th.

I've watched us snatch defeat from the jaws of victory many times before and we are going to lose some of these games. But we can afford to lose some because of the lovely cushion that we have built up. I am also very confident that we wil pick up some unexpected points in the run in. Plus, considering their patchy form, I really cannot see united winning all of their remaining games which is a must if they are to have any chance of making 5th spot.

We got this.

COYS!!

It not always the case with him and I'm not sure what contributes to the variation of its impact, but my only issue with Sarr at the moment is the gaps that can be left when he's so far forward. I feel like maybe we could do with his legs on that big St James' Park pitch, but it also makes me fear all that space that could be left if we lose the ball.

I feel like I quite liked that more of a midfield 2 in there as opposed to the one sitting deep and the two others often so far forward.

Did you see PEH's missplaced pass under pressure when he came on :ROFLMAO:;)

To be fair on form PEH deserves to start, it should be PEH, Bentancur, Lo Celso on form also PEH, Bentancur, Maddison is ok but I think Ange will start Bissouma, Bentancur and Maddison if i was to hazard a guess.

Yeah normally I like a two week break, we've had so many this season I'm not sure it's actually helping us.

be nice just for once to go in to a 2 week break on the back of a victory rather than having to stew on a shitty defeat like the last couple of times.

So looking forward to this game. Been to most Prem clubs away but this is my first away to the toon. Going with my eldest who has got us tickets in the directors box. Going to be hard to keep me mush shut for the 90.

Firstly I would like to apologise for my negativity but I can feel a couple of hammerings coming in the next few games and this could be one of them , it’s a funny ground for us , we’ve done ok there and we’ve also taken a few batterings . They will press the life out of us and are quick down the wide areas , if we start how we have been in the past few months we could get a similar repeat of the score line last seaon , I really don’t want to see Udogie and Porro so far up the pitch in the early stages ,let’s keep a shape and grow into the game . The positive side A if we got a win then I feel 4th would be very achievable and 5th as good as done .

My recall suggests that all PEHs best performances have been when he’s come off the bench.

I think you’re overestimating them and underestimating us here, but I do think this could be almost any score except 0-0 or 1-0.

Should think we will start with Timo , Sonny and Brennan as a lot of the training videos you see are about getting in fast low crosses and we have seen quite a few goals that way . Expect Howe will be looking at those three thinking of the pace we have and how to stop it, what are Newcastle like for pace at the back ?

Newcastle's injury list has been bad all season, but it's ridiculous at the moment. Botman, Lacelles, Wilson, Miley, Pope, Almiron, Livramento, Joelinton and Trippier confirmed out for our match, and Willock looking unlikely judging by Howe's comments.

After smashing them to pieces at our place we should definitely be looking to win this.

Yep, all in on this one. Best part of a week since the last game and two weeks to the next, against a depleted opposition. No excuses for slow starts or 30 minute concentration losses. Get the pressure on Villa and go into the break with a spring in the step.

Just for a quick Newcastle perspective might be worth checking this prediction thread.

As of now there are 8 predictions for Saturday's game. 4 say Spurs win, 4 say draw. They all seem in agreement with us that it will be a high-scoring game.

100% this. Keep Isak and Gordon quiet and we should have a good chance here against their depleted side.
