Could be genuine but I doubt it. It looks a bit shoddy for an official document - and apparently we requested a block of 2 away games at the end of the season- but on this our last game is at Home to Burnley.

Doesn't it say June 15th on it? Don't much like the look of September..........

We're supposed to be away from home first and last game of season to help with stadium construction, I call bullshit

Fake or not, reading this I was feeling pretty good about the opposition to face - feels like we have turned a corner in terms of confidence this year. Bring em on, whatever order they come in! COYS

Looks a legit draft to me. A lot of bother to go to for a windup

What does it really matter anyway. 38 games, 1/2 home, 1/2 away & we'll play everyone twice so what diffs?

Although easy early fixtures I guess would be good given our penchant for fucking around for the first 1/4 of the season

Just because we requested it doesnt mean the league have an obligation to give it.
Ridiculous to reject requests for both ends of the season though don't you think?
West Ham were allowed permission season just gone, don't think it affects them to much to allow us to play away at the beginning and end of the season, we do most seasons anyway

I never know why the schedule is such a big deal to some in any sport. It all evens out in the end.

A bit simplistic view IMO. I think we can all agree, that batches of certain teams in a row, has the possibility to affect confidence massively either way. Hitting these "harder" fixtures after a good run while confidence is high, has the ability to affect the result somewhat. Couple that with how the run of our opponents up until our meeting is, and the scheduling might not be all that unimportant.

I never know why the schedule is such a big deal to some in any sport. It all evens out in the end.

Because "form" is a thing and there's a psychological aspect to it. If the game was played by robots then you might be right but it's not.

Also other commitments (a busy international tournament vs a summer off) can heavily affect games at both ends of the season, as can fixture congestion, cup runs, Europe, etc.

Saying "they all play the same games in the end" and ignoring the order and its subsequent implications is just wrong.

You did ask :p
