I,m sure we have had a ten past four fixture against Utd before, just curious to see if anyone knows why it isnt the usual 4 o,clock sky kick off.

Because there are 2 televised games before it, kicking off at 12:00 and 14:05. It just gives it that little more time for build-up.

i've found that utd fans seem to get in all around the ground too.

That doesn't surprise me. You can usually find United fans anywhere that isn't Manchester.

It's funny that I often read a lot of positive comments about Spurs from United fans on message boards, but every single United fan I know is a complete Campbell.

Their away fans are the best in the league but maybe that's because they always have something to sing about when playing us

I don't know why we ever give up the most vocal part of the ground to any away team. Although we've given them less tickets this season because all their fans are twats.

It's because the ****s insist on standing up, isn't it? I hate United fans. Boy, do I fucking hate them. I've never found myself sitting beside one-boy, I wouldn't fucking stand for that.

Mind you, I was watching the Arsenal game on telly last weekend, and lo and behold, there was some geezer in a Spurs shirt bang in the middle of them. I would've thought that would be hazardous to his health, like. Would that not be hazardous to his health?

Away fans always stand?

They do? I couldn't tell you. All I know is that when we played them a year or two ago at home that they were all shoved into the South Lower because they had a history of refusing to sit down. I will have to google this now. Journey we more into the madness.

Got this on a Utd site. Doesn't answer my question but I will keep digging anyway.

A message on Tottenham’s official website suggests reductions will be made this season in the lower tier:

It reads: “One Hotspur Members are advised there will be limited availability for fans in the lower tier of the South Stand for the Manchester United match at White Hart Lane as the away allocation has again been altered for this fixture.

“As per the previous two seasons, Manchester United supporters will receive a reduced allocation – all of which are located in the lower tier of the South Stand.

“As a result there are a larger number of tickets available for home supporters, with the entire Upper Tier of the South Stand being available.”

This is more like it...

"One of the key issues is the persistent blocking of aisles and gangways by supporters standing during matches, making a potential obstruction for emergency services, but the club admit they have received other complaints. United officials raised the issue at the last meeting of the club's official fans' forum, explaining that "one of the reasons provided by clubs for giving a reduced allocation was safety, but the main reason was supporters' behaviour".

Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Bolton Wanderers and Sunderland are among the Premier League clubs who have punished United, whereas Leeds United did the same as a precautionary measure ahead of their Carling Cup tie at Elland Road last month.

The clubs are acting on the advice of safety advisory groups, independent bodies whose representatives mainly originate from the local council and police. However, United have noted that Everton, using the same authority as Liverpool, have not penalised them and the Old Trafford club have been disappointed to learn that Liverpool have subsequently sold the tickets that have been withdrawn to home fans.

They're no worse than we are away from home, which is just how we like to be, standing and cheering.

I think we just do it because we can and it pisses them off. We're one of 13 clubs that do it to them I think?

It does annoy me we give them the South Lower, but I think the reason for it being the most vocal section is because it has the away fans there, it makes it the area of banter and where chants may start due to them.

All it means is we can now piss over the edge of the top tier onto them.
