Only saw about half the game. Ireland's scrum was a shambles, but it always is when Court is there. If it was as bad when Ross was in (I don't remember or didnt see any when he was so can't comment) then I'd be very worried. Never seen us make so many mistake either. England deserved it, and looked like they wanted it more, but Ireland virtually gave it to them with the amount of stupid things they done. Sean O'Brien isn't a 7 either so stop wasting him there!

I think England already had the upper hand and had won 2-3 penalties before the substitution, but after the replacement is when things really became one-sided.

That's worrying then. While it's not the greatest scrum in the World, it's usually pretty solid when we have Ross, Best and Healy together. The last 20 minutes were a embarrassing, but like I said above, it's usually pretty bad when Court has to come in. It was like England had 5 extra players the way they were pushing us back, although funnily enough I didn't think the penalty try should have been one because your No.8 (Morgan?) lost control of the ball.

I'll echo the sentiments of Welshie in that Lydiate was superb today and was an heroic display of putting his body on the line and gave his all to the cause.

Grand slam and with such a young and talented squad, we should be competitive for years to come although England will most definately have a say next year as they too will have a young and talented group of players at whoever takes charge's disposal.

I think Corbs, Hartley and Cole have shown themselves to be quite a formidable unit as the tournamnet has gone on. Last week they matched the French and have now completely done a number on the Irish, even against Wales they hung on in there and didnt get a lot of help from the Ref (Jones constantly binding on the arm for example). Good signs for the long-term but the tour in South Africa will be a much bigger test.

I too thought the Penalty try was generous, like you I thought Morgan lost control. However the scrum directly before that I thought was when it should have been given, so it evened itself out IMO.

Make the most of it, matey boy! :)

After seeing what the English scrum did to the Irish, I think next year could be the other way round.

But for now, Wales are undoubtedly the best in the Northern hemisphere.

Please don't forget this Welsh team is still young too, Mr Arnold - they will only get better
