he should be able too as we have signed him, dont think he could play against us first time for pompy as it was a loan deal to start with as soem paper work didnt go through in time.

illegal or certainly against the rules to write this into a contract. If a player signs for a club permanently they are eligible to play against any other club in the league. A few seasons back Everton and Man Utd were fined as they tried to write something similar into Tim Howards contract, infact Howard didnt play against Utd but the FA picked up on it.
