Hardly put a foot wrong today, Dier will take more plaudits but Danny boy owned that left hand side. Looks a completely different prospect playing in a team that actually has shape and instruction. Strange indeed.

I still refuse to believe that "coaching" (like that's a thing) can really improve players.

They're too dumb.

Unless you give them instructions like "pick up." "Put down." "sit" "Take off Hat"* "run around"

I'm not buying it...

*ok bad example

Well done Danny. Long may it continue.

Said all along the people slating him are idiots. He was as good at Sunderland as Vertonghen was for us 2 years ago. Not sure why everyone gave Jan a free pass but wanted Rose sold.

What I like about him that we don't see from many fullbacks (and that would potentially separate him from Baines, Shaw, etc) is a real tenacious attitude. Not scared of anyone or any challenge.

As has been said by many others regarding today's game... he really was good today, fully committed, in for every header and tackle. Top performance.

Not only that he won all of them, great assist too.

He even clapped the crowd at the end :)

Good game today. He has added some much needed aggression to his game. I think the competition for his place has given him a bit of focus.
