I'm massively, massively disappointed with how Lennon has failed to quite reach his attacking potential.

However... one thing I never expected of the guy is how he's developed his defensive/team capabilities. Despite Chadli's superb previous performance, I agree with @striebs & was erring towards playing him against the Scouse in order to tame Sterling. I wish we had.

Against weaker opposition, sure, chuck others with more end-product in. Against the top teams, and until we have a better option, I want Aaron there to not only provide a threat but also protect the full-back.

It is time to move on and Lennon is a player who have stagnated the last few years. A good game here and there during a season but in general. No goals, no assists and no end product. It is time to move on. By the way Andros Townsend, don't get me started, sell him if there are any buyers ASAP.

Totally agree re Andros. He has tonnes of footballing ability, and is potentially brilliant in that respect. But it appears he's utterly incapable of being coached into taking the right decisions on the field. Until he has a brain transplant, he's just going to continue punting it over the bar from distance.

this almost never happens.

Tackled people. Or harassed them at least.

Absolutely brilliant news,he had two teams interested in buying him,Stoke and Qpr .........thats the level he is at and has been for a number of years.

Your point being what? It's not that we have great options in the squad for wingers if we do sell him.

At this point and in this system, Ceballos is probably a better option than him. As is Alex Pritchard(unfortunately, he's on loan).
Alex Pritchard, who's never played a game above League One? That Alex Pritchard?

Cristian Ceballos, off the back of one preseason game where he looked a bit dangerous?

Over a guy who's been playing in the Premier League for 10 years? I don't love Lennon but he's better than the other options.

They both provide more than Lennon does. We need that. Especially in this AM 3
