Is he good enough to be a Modric replacement? We seem to have a lot of promising young central midfielders on the books already... If he isn't someone who can step into the first team right away then we should be spending that money elsewhere.

Eh, not quite sure he's the required quality tbh with you. Only just had his first season of first team football. A tidy player but replacing Modric? That would be like replacing Berbatov with Frazier Campbell and nobody would be thick enough to do that...

Very valid point though. He'd be a useful addition to the squad but that player to, in the crucial games, replace Modric? Gutsy call should someone make it because there's little evidence to suggest he could do so, imo.

Yeah I don't know much about him as a player to judge whether he would be a good Modric replacement but the poster looking down his nose at lower priced players was v harsh IMHO

Damn, Cabaye for £4m. Potential to go down as one of the best buys of the decade tbh, should he keep his level of performance up and improve in his peak. I'm actually almost tearing up at the thought.

Such a shame that the Barcodes would be looking at something outrageous for him. I'd have him over Moutinho tbh.
