I'm shocked that Gus is having to use a folded page torn from a comb-bound notepad on which to to draw his diagrams. It's an utter disgrace. Can't we afford proper clipboards any more?

:)

I haven't read most of the posts on here tonight, but is there a general, sensible feeling that we were just outplayed by a very, very good team, who are top of their league and knocked Arsenal out of the CL last season?

Or is every Spurs player a ****?

we lost at whl

Do you know what this means?

WHL isn't good enough for us and we must move immediately.

I would disagree on the outplayed bomberh, but PSV were very disciplined and restricted us well. Also we had a bad day and lacked that killer ball you need to score, but that was also partly down to their good discipline.

Spot on. Was very impressed with PSV. They may be like Chelsea to watch (organised, boring as hell but dangerous on the break) but we won't see too many more professional displays at the Lane this year

All you moaners should think back 4 months or so where did you think we'd be at this point, you should be happy we're league cup champions with secured european football next season and not as per usual expect too much from a team still in transition under a relatively new manager. We were never gonna win the UEFA cup and if we progress any further it's a bonus and should not be expected.

No, I'm just deeply, deeply shocked that our assistant coach no longer gets a clipboard. How cheap does a bit of paper look? Are we that hard up? What kind of image does this present?

Come on, Levy, flash that cheque book!

We weren't outplayed, and they're not (or at least weren't tonight) that good. We just didn't play that well either. No big deal though. We'll just beat them at their place.

Except we were. They ran the midfield, which is usually a sign of who's been outplayed. All we did 2nd half was lump the ball up to Berby. Yep, we had a couple of 'nearlys' but they deserved their win and hopefully the magic man will study their tactics and we'll win there next week. We didn't play particularly badly at all, they were just better and more organised.

Saying they're not that good, when they're well ahead of Ajax & Feyenoord in the league is wrong. And they were good tonight too. Organised and excellent on the counter.

I still fancy our chances though next week. 2-1 Spurs and we're in the quarters. Spurs Bolton final. :-|

They were much better than us. They played a pretty much perfect away tie, and they clearly still had some left in the tank (wasn't their first team, either).

We were poor, but we were mainly poor because PSV made us look it.

Anyway, in conclusion, Poyet out. Hughton is the man we need.

I was going to start this thread. Bloody outrageous.

And for the 3rd substitution that was clearly the official printed out team sheet given to the ref and placed in exec suites/directors box etc with all the players names on it. Gus was pointing at one of the names repeatedly to Little Adel as he was about to come on. Not sure why.

Possibly pointing to the names under 'Home Side' and saying: "These are your team-mates. I know you've not had a lot to do with them but try to pass to them. Just once would be nice".

Perhaps Chris Hughton spent all the money for the clipboards and took all clipboards with him?

We came up against a very very good team that play in europe most seasons, they were technically better that us, also it has proved that a few of our players are just not good enough to make the move upto the next level, we are not a bad team but we were playing a very good team. We can win the next leg if we play very very well, but as Mr Ramos said last night would gage how far we have come and these players are playing for the futures, so he got his answer.

We were totally outplayed by PSV and imo lucky the score was only 0-1. What was surprising was our resolution to the long ball as we didn't have the skill to penetrate a well organized PSV team (Robbo loved it)
