Just because we're not spending £50m up front on Traore doesn't mean we don't have money.

If my mrs says "Can you get me some Bananas from the shop", and I get there and they're £20, and I say "fuck that", it doesn't mean I can't afford Bananas, or that I don't have £20, or that she's being unfairly deprived - it just means I'm not completely bananas myself.

Same with players. If we have £xm to buy 3 players, Nuno himself might decide he doesn't want Traore at any costs - especially if it means we're going to miss out on another position/player by overbudgeting on one player.

When you’re talking about a player with two years left on his contract, there’s a world of difference between a loan with obligation and a loan with an option. You’re conflating two things that are fundamentally different.

Paratici loves to structure deals as loan-with-obligation. It’s a standard practice Italy, it’s how he structured the Romero transfer, it’s how he’s repeatedly been reported to want to structure our other business.

Wolves would never in a hundred billion years countenance the idea of loaning one of their most valuable assets, with two years left on his contract, without an obligation. You can think that’s dumb but it’s just because you don’t like the player. Nuno does like him, hence why we’re in for him.

He's pretty much Traore but without the brute strength and a lot more skillful. Can also cover upfront and has the bonus of being home-grown.

Really don't think he is more skillfull. I feel like lots here are not crediting Traore with his ball control and dribbling. He's absolutely one of the most capable dribblers in the league.
