Brazil and Irani are far and away the best combo on Talkshite: amusing, interested and not too smug.
I actually quite like Andy Gray but Keys is way overrated, smug and should be a clerk in Coventry Building Society.
I don't really get much chance to listen to the 'middle of the day' guys:
the Spurs and Chelsea fans (H&J) seem average, but at least don't seem too fond of themselves.
The weekend guys, Quinny and the posh geezer, are pretty much as good as Brazil and Irani.
Danny Kelly is a model pro and Spurs fan but for some reason he actually doesn't do a lot for me.

Finally Gough and Durham who I listen to on the drive home, until I can't bear it any longer.
Goughie has charm, wit and has played sport at a high level so has some insight to offer, even if he murders the English language and can't debate for shit.
Durham is charmless, witless and shows no evidence of having ever kicked a ball in his life. But he is brilliant (well, better than average) as a wind-up merchant. He is a bully and loves nothing more than 'average blokes' phoning in so he can rip them to shreds and in his view make himself look reasonably intelligent in the process. The fact that there's a thread on him on SC that we've commented on and I too have wasted 5 minutes posting, proves he must have something about him !

Basically he was just setting us up to fall by saying we are dead certs for top 4. So if we don't make it he will have another show saying that avb is no good as he said all along and if we do make it he will say it's not an achievement as it was the minimum we should achieve.

He covers all bases and thinks he's really smart about it.

Maybe, of course would be a disappointment but he was saying it was a given. Which it isn't. Reality is that it will be a massive task to finish above chelsk, man c, man u. So as with last season it leaves 3- 4 cclubs battling it out for one spot.

All our signings have never played in the premier league so we have no idea how they will perform together over the season, or at those tricky away grounds or over Xmas etc.

In an ideal world we will be fighting for the title but who knows.

Agree completely. He has an issue with AVB and Tottenham in general. I have been much happier since I simply stopped listening to it.

In fairness last year Durham went on week after week that we were a 1 man team . Yes it pissed everyone off but it wasn't too far from the truth. This season he has been praising our great buys almost every day. So what's wrong with that ? He also says that RM must be mad paying 80-90 m for Bale and Levy is doing a great job in getting them to pay over the odds for Bale. Both those points are also true. He then compares our transfer policy with Arsenal saying we have had a great summer creating a stronger squad with quality players and if we can do it why can't they ?
Yes he does say that AVB hasn't proved himself yet and this season is what he will be judged on. We may disagree with him but it is a valid point.
So his style may be annoying but he's not as constantly anti Sours as some are making out. If I was an Arsenal fan I could justifiably be pissed off by his " daily Arsenal " but much of that is true too.

He claimed that he was once at at Old Trafford watching a match but in reality he was 30 odd not out batting for Essex. He still does a cricket show of a sunday evening though.

If you take every single Bale goal away then Spurs would have finished 9th instead of 5th. One man team? Bollocks.
