Tottenham have seemingly bolstered their scouting network, with the British media claiming that 24-year-old former Malaga technical director Adrian Esparraga has been hired.

The Spaniard, who is also a UEFA Pro Coach, has been appointed by Paul Mitchell to head up the scouting network for southern Europe.

Esparraga’s Twitter page has been updated to state that he works for the club and he will clearly bring a wealth of knowledge of the Spanish game to White Hart Lane.

The Spaniard was at Malaga during Manuel Pellegrini’s stint at the Andalusian club but left the La Liga side earlier this season.

We're going to absolutely crush everyone in the 'scouting network 5-a-side' this Summer.

Seriously though, all of these scouts are all well and good, but it will all be pointless if Levy doesn't support their decisions by paying up for their preferred players. We need to see it all working before I get too excited.

Explains why we've been linked to a few Malaga players recently I guess. Wonder if he was about when Isco was signed? Would have been around for Sergi Darder and Guillermo Ochoa who are good signings.

If you look at his website you can see why we've signed him.

Pretty sure Levy is getting these scouts in so he doesnt have to pay up alot of money for players. He wants to find the hiddens gems

frankly... they could be looking for young players for the academy. so i wouldn't keep my hopes up for any big signings.

He's a young lad who's going to need some time to adjust to living in London, definitely a culture shock. At only 24 you'd hope he could find some companionship with Soldado and possibly Lamela, but I find it hard to see him breaking in over men like Baldini over 30 years his elder. Need to stop signing these Carlos Scoutaballs. Can't win anything with kids.

Not all the scouts will be based in London (but not saying I claim to know where he will be based)
