Funny comments from Luiz saying 'kids will have been watching and Sergio should admit that he did a bad thing, it's not good when kids see bad things like this happen on the pitch.

This is coming from David Luiz. David Luiz, who has made three challenges this season which should've seen him banned, including a challenge on an 18 year old Brentford kid where Luiz forearmed him in the face as he ran across him, knocking the kid out cold.

Frankly I was happy seeing this vile scumbag get a taste of his own medicine.

Shame Aguero's not been banned, for our sake, though. And ridiculous.

Ah, you can always trust a Liverpool fan to make a fool of themselves.
yea i was thinking the same although you do have to admit there is a modicum of truth in that. there'd probably by a high court trial on by now if it was suarez (although i wouldn't complain:whistle:). the FA really do belong in a zoo with the rest of the monkeys

Have to agree, and that he elbowed Aguero first anyway.

It's more that that particular Liverpool fan assumes that because it's anyone but poor little persecuted Luis no one else gives a toss whilst being quoted amongst a bunch of other people proving him wrong.

Foy hasnt given a PL penalty until the other week when he gave one for Arsenal ( In truth they probably should have had two) truly an awful ref.

Yeah I'd love Aguero to be suspended. Who have they got? Dzeko? Didn't look like scoring last time he played at the Lane.

Ludicrous that Aguero isn't banned, I just don't get the FA's reasoning behind it. He blatantly did it with malicious intent and should be a ban.

We've seen a weeked of violence off the pitch, with the FA rightly condemning it, the Aguero challenge was pretty much violence on the pitch. For them to allow that to go unpunished is just ridiculous.

A friend of mine in Italy was blinded in one eye during a game where another guy raked his face maliciously with the studs on his heel. It caused a major brawl (game got called off) and the player was banned permanently as a result. Let's say if that scenario happened over here in the EPL and the ref didn't quite catch it properly or didn't realise the malicious intent and decided to just give a free kick and/or yellow card the player. Does this mean that the player is free from any further punishment?

Something will give eventually until something really career threatening happens, then they'll have to change their idiotic minds.

It was just bizarre to see. He lost himself there and nothing but trying to deliberately stud a human being went through his mind for that split second. I hope he's ashamed of himself this morning tbh. Never came across as that kind of player before. If it's an aberration then fine but not a good look all the same.

Thankfully, and rather comically, he managed to rake Luiz's buttock/upper hammy but I've seen a torn scrotum on a rugby pitch and that was done quite accidentally by someone's studs.

Could have been a very nasty affair and it undoubtedly deserves a ban. There was no attempt at a challenge there. Just someone trying to, and succeeding, to rake their studs somewhere on another player.

He did get sent off against Bolton a few years ago back when they were in the Uefa Cup. I know it's not exactly the same but he seems to be a player who can definitely get a bit wound up

Only just seen this for the first time. Luiz's shoulder/elbow first wasn't great, but Aguero's reaction is awful, much worse. He should certainly have been banned retrospectively.

Another stupid decision by the fa.

One of the guys at work said that Torres got him back a few minutes later by putting his studs down Agueros legs. Did anyone else notice that?

To be honest, that's probably true. Suarez is the player everyone loves to hate.

With reason, too. But like I pointed out earlier, that 'pool fan was implying that no one cared about this incident because it wasn't Suarez whilst being quoted on the BBC website surrounded by input from a load of other people all criticizing Aguero/Foy/the FA.

Is that so much different to the Balotelli stamp on Parker? Balotelli did incurr a four match retrospective ban for that. I can't see the difference between the two other than one was a known trouble maker and one not. Maybe his "why always me" t-shirt should have asked "why only me?"

No the difference was that Howard Webb wrote in his report that had he have seen the Balotelli stamp on Parker he would of sent him off. In the other cases referees and linesmen admitted to seeing the incident yet they didn't do anything. Therefore the FAs hands are tied because of their own stupid rules.

It's baffling. That's assault out on the street

Found guilty of assault by stamping on someone's bum after they elbowed you. I can see someone getting a stretch for that. ;)

Seriously though, it was an awful challenge. He should have been banned but the FA put themselves in that position due to the regulations they have in place.

Nice to see that Aguero has apologised to Luiz. Luiz comments are interesting as well saying that it shows great character to apologise. I wonder what he thinks of John Terry after the Ferdinand affair? I've got to say that Luiz seems like a decent bloke... Apparently he was one of the very few Chelsea players to contact AVB and wish him well after he was sacked.

I think the Chelsea player deserves a red card too.

He deliberately threw his elbow and hit Aguero, poor reaction from Aguero too, but he did just take an albow thrown at him.

This.
He does the elbow thing a lot.
