Hope so! He's some talent.

I think he'd be a brilliant signing for us, but I'm not very hopeful. I was very impressed with him in the Euro's. I can imagine quite a few clubs will be after him. All depends on which of those clubs are Champions League, Tragically, we're not.

I think (hope) he would be high on our list now that Oscar no longer seems possible.

I think he's very Modric-esque in his play. And he's open to moving abroad.

We could probably get Moutinho and Dzagoev for what Levy would squeeze out the Modric sale.

Isn't Dzagoev a bit more VdV/Gylfi than Modric?

He may be a little more attacking than Modric...

But then, at these Euros just gone, I thought Modric was a little more attacking than Modric!

He's just seems to be quick on the ball, very good at retaining possession and can spot a killer pass. He scores goals too.

Is this just another Vertonghen situation where he's on the last year of a contract and they are asking way too much for him?

This video shows a bit of Dzagoev's technique, but what impressed me most was how intelligent he sounds. The way he describes his teammates' tendencies and strengths, and how he adjusts his pass depending on who he is passing to, shows that he is a cerebral player.

Could easily be the replacement for Modric. As well as adding depth out wide if needs be.

He's not really like Modric at all. Loses possession quite often but a real goal threat and pretty pacy. Basically he's very much an attacking midfielder who would be vying for the Gylfi/VdV position. A good player but not one that we need or frankly are likely to be able to get.

Don't really know if a player like him is a priority. He is not a Modric replacement. He is not as complete. He won't provide a box to box presence and break up attacks. We need a solid CM and a striker before a player like Dzagoev.

According to that site, Modric's market value is £40.5M. Does Danial Levy run that site :).

If he did then dzagoev would be valued at considerably less. But then maybe he's scaring everyone else off so we have a clear run. He's tricky that levy character.....

Pretty sure he played wide right in the euros for Russia. would suit our 4231/433 style
Can confirm he played on the right of Russia's front 3. If he is signed he would provide competition/take Lennon's position.
