This video shouldn't be long then :p

Plus you'll probably won't see our strikers scoring much.

Just watched the video, and it made our strikers look phenomenal. If only they were as good as the video made them look.

Firstly it shows where we need to improve, more so the type of player we need to buy. We scored no free kicks, hardly any goals by getting in behind the defence and a very low percentage from inside the box. We should be looking for a speedy, fox in the box, free kick taker....

Some of Pav's goals were very well taken, if he'd been given more opportunities and/or been more consistent with his form we'd have been much higher up the table.

Great vid

Tbf to Pav, he's scored some beauties this season. I forget about the two goals at the Reekok Stadium, first by a decent run and superb finish by Hutton. And then that excellent volley by Pav. And in general we've scored some excellent goals this seaso and so many from outside the box. There were hardly any from inside the box.

Except for Pav, who's record this season has been pretty decent.

No it hasn't

He managed to make himself look much better with those two goals on the last day. He'd been dropped before then because he was so bad against Blackpool he was taken off at half time (and rightly so) - of course then Defoe (who you despise Nic) scored our equaliser.

Prior to yesterday he had 8 league goals in 28 appearances. That's not really a pretty decent record. I've also already pointed out previously how only a few of his goals were either against top opposition or in games we weren't already comfortably winning.

He's certainly gotten better towards the end of the season (at least up until the Blackpool game) and though I have a go at him he's probably been the best of our three strikers.

But the important point is that being the best of the worst set of strikers outside Birmingham does not mean Pav did remotely well enough to justify his place.

If we can get just one great striker in I won't mind him staying. But I still don't think he's good enough for us, and if we can get an improvement I say go for it.

How good could Pav actually be :(

Great, if he really wanted. A full season of maximum effort from him, like he shows in maybe 1 in 3 games, plus a big, strong, quick strike partner to do the dogsbody work, and he has the natural talent to be very successful. He's a 15-20 goals a season striker when he can be bothered.

Given how long he's been playing the game and his failure to do this so far, though, you have to say it's unlikely to suddenly happen now.

post this in the Super Pav thread, you might not of seen it

just checked his minutes to goals and it really is quite good tbh

1592 minutes in the EPL which equates to 17.68 games scoring 10 goals and getting 4 assists

again are they not pretty good stats for a 3rd striker?

then he scored 4 in 8 CL games or 448 minutes(just under 5 games)

we could do alot worse than Pav coming off the bench and playing in the Europa or CC

Exactly right and you know if he left to play somewhere else he'd be banging them in left, right and centre...
