Some of the comments in here are amusing. Us fans slate the club for not having a Kane backup, and we’re then linked with a guy who has scored goals in all the top leagues, hardly ever spent a season not playing champions league football, often starts and scores for a very high quality national team - but he’s too shite for our bench. Haha, we’re hilarious sometimes ?

I agree

Look he isnt the best but its all about numbers i feel at the moment. We need numbers because i cant stand seeing some of the players we have on the bench or in the squad. I think Conte and Paratici are seeing this window as a numbers game then we go all out in the summer.

I wouldn't want to have this guy as my main striker but he'd be a great one to have as a backup/rotation one. That said I doubt the finances would be suitable for such a role.

I take him as a back up striker.

At times when Kane not on pitch we need a focal point.

Personally I feel we should have kept Vinicius as he did well in Europe and cup games.

He has been good enough to play for Real, Juve, Chelseaa, Atletico and Spain, but some people here still think he is not good enough for Spurs. Look at the state of our attacking options in last few years.

Its literally Kane and Dane fucking Scarlett what we have at the moment.

Its incredible. We moan and cry for back up to Kane. I'm struggling to see how much better we could possibly do than bring someone of his experience and pedigree to Spurs.

Weak links to Morata on AS tonight. Can imagine him going to Arsenal on loan.

Meanwhile, from England two options have appeared, but quite late. As As has learned, Arsenal and Tottenham have called Morata. Arteta's men are also desperately looking for a striker, with Aubameyang ruled out due to his behaviour. Miguel Molina, Arteta's assistant, has spoken personally with Morata. He has made him see that he would fit in and that he is the piece that the Spanish coach is missing for an Arsenal that is coming strong. Morata already knows the Premier. It would not need to adapt. The player listened with interest, but feels there is no time to properly tackle a move to London again. But it is that Antonio Conte, who knows him well, also wants him. At this time, the option of staying at Juventus, as this newspaper has already explained, is the most feasible. Finish the season with Allegri and fight with Vlahovic and a Dybala who now seems to be further away from renewing.

He’d be the biggest help Kane has ever had if he came. He’s one of those players who I think when things are instinctual they’re good but when they have time to think about things and process the game that’s when there’s problems. Used to think it about Lloris for a bit early on. He’s the type of striker who might miss a one on one, even after being offside but will absolutely bang in a weak foot half chance snapshot

Not sure we would get a better back up striker on the cheap.

If he could bring others into the game and help them score, then we should go for it.

exactly this, was going to say, he is a super solid back up striker. I wouldn't be mad if he was guy we'd bring on in the 70th minute trailing in a game. We don't have the money to sign Cavani's and pay him like 350k a week to sit on the bench and be happy there

I think he will be our back up plan if Bergwijn goes. Personally I feel we are one short in attack any way.

Or more importantly, someone we could bring on when we're winning a game to give Kane a rest, who still runs hard, causes problems, holds the ball up, etc.

Certainly beats putting 10 men behind the ball for the final 20 minutes.

If it was a loan or cheap deal I'd be all for it. He isn't the best finisher but he is a seasoned top level player who can get the ball down and link play nicely. He would work well with Kane and the best back up for him we ever had.
