Vadillo is a right winger not a left Barry.

All the times I've seen him play he played LW. Maybe you think he's a RW because he's right footed

Sorry to resurrect a slightly older post, but Vadillo is indeed right-footed. And he can play either flank, but he's mostly utilised as an LW in a 4-5-1 or as an LWF in a 4-3-3 (for both Betis & Spain U-19). So he's not a Right Winger (at least 95% of the time).

Cheers!

When I saw him breakthrough a couple of years ago he was playing on the right. Guess that's changed over time then! Cheers you two

Bumped with Ryan's new ITK.

Recap: 18 year old Real Betis right-footed left winger, Spanish U-20 international, €20m release clause. 13 La Liga appearances last season. Bags of potential but not amazing stats, so possibly an alternative to Halilovic.

Firstly, never heard of this kid so won't offer an onion on him.

Ryan's said overnight we're considering going back and paying the Release Fee... And someone in here said that was set at £17m!

That's a lot for someone I have no onions on.

Anyway. Now I'm nonethewiser and have contributed nothing to the thread, consider his Player Thread bumped.

Edit: Dammit Butch. You and your speedy digits.

Going after Vadillo with a chunk of of our remaining transfer budget would be a huge mistake. He is not ready to contribute as a regular starter to our team. If you want a winger from La Liga who can actually start for us, we should go to Sociedad for Griezmann. We need players who can step into our starting XI right now and help us qualify for the Champions League. You don't go out and spend 30 million Euros on a 28 year old striker like Soldado with the aim of building for the future. Everything we spend needs to be on proven quality. Signings like Hailovic and Vadillo can wait until January or later. There is no pressing need for them.

Lamela is already proven at a high level (unlike Vadillo) and is worthy of his price-tag (Roma should actually hold out for way more). Eriksen is significantly more proven than Vadillo, is cheaper, and fits a huge need for us. We really need a set piece taker in the side and Eriksen is one of the best in the world in dead ball situations. Seriously, people don't realize how much of a difference it'd make to have someone like him taking corners.

I really really really really really doubt this is a contingency plan for Willian or Lamela. He isn't nearly developed enough to challenge for a starting place in our team, its obvious in his goalscoring record and the kind of minutes he's been getting at Betis.

IMO this will be the same 17m that we tried to use to sign Halilovic. They are similar players at a similar stage of development, and our deal for Alen appears to have stalled once again. We obviously had the budget for one big youth signing when we moved for Alen, and now I think we've moved to our second target.

Funny the discussion about the next ronaldo/messi titles... Because halilovic would definitely be a messi and this guy a ronaldo. I know who I'd prefer.

I'd rather get Vadillo > Halilovic, so if that's how we're using those funds it gets a definite approval from me.

Ah but he's a -9 prospect on Football Manager. That makes up for it.

-10 is the top potential, -9 just below.

I think 17M for this unproven talent is a bit too much, we should put in some more money and get Griezmann... trigger his release clause EUR 30M. If not Ajax Fischer looks like a cheaper and better prospect at EUR 6M or so.

I've seen a couple of games with him..Since i always had a soft spot for Betis..He is good..He has a BIG potensial and will be VERY good. Dont think he will be the one that takes us up yet, but will be...This boy will be big, very big..

Fischer's release was 6m before he extended his contract last year. It will now be much higher.

If Fischer's release was still only 6mil there would have been a lineup of teams trying to sign him already this summer.

Some great potential
On our radar now. (Radar
Is a palindrome).

Radar is an Acronym. :)

Anyway he looks decent, we got a fantastic training base now... Great to have fantastic players using it and groom the Spurs players of the future. But he is a luxuary we can afford not to have... We need to fill the bale shape hole soon, someone who can take us to the next..... Level (now that's a palindrome)

Sandro, where do you get time to find all this out when you spend most of your time training and walking on water? Sorry, I forgot; your Sandro - you KNOW everything! :p
