Spurs fans obsession with the past - always harping on about Redknapp or AVB or Sherwood fucks me off no end. They are gone - move on!

When everything is shit you've no choice but to look back at better times. Liverpool have been doing it for 20 years!

Sorry I don't get the point? The other poster said at least Poch had stopped the regular beatings? I was using the 0-3 defeat to Stoke yesterday as an example of a regular beating. Then I used Sherwood's big wins, and goal difference, to show that Poch has invariably has only been winning narrowly whereas Sherwood had several big wins of his own.

his point is that you listed the 0-3 defeat to stoke twice. we lost 0-3 to them once.

Man City 1-4? Stoke 0-3? Chelsea 0-3? Man Utd 0-3? Stoke 0-3? That regular enough for you?

I think we will fail to sell off our dead weight this summer, once again. I see us maybe moving 1 or 2 at most.

A marginal improvement at home only. Poch against the top 4 away... played 4, 1 draw, 3 defeats (4 defeats if you include the cup final) goals for 2, goals against 11. We also played well at home to Arsenal under Sherwood in a narrow defeat towards the end and played well at Chelsea until Vertogthen had his brain fart. Well, at least as good as the 0-3 there this year.

Either way, the same point stands. Sherwood beat everyone 5th-9th - 8 games, 8 wins. Were those points worth any less than the ones against Chelsea or Arsenal? It is funny when Sherwood was winning those games last year, loads of people were all 'Of course he won.... ANYONE could win those games... it's so easy and nothing exceptional...".

Well, how does that argument look now? Sherwood got nearly 2 points per game. 76 points over a season. United currently sit in 4th on 68. So even if Sherwood had the exact same record against the top 4 at home, and delievered the exact same non-improvement away against the top 4 as under Poch, but had won all these the "easy" games the same as last year, we'd be a shoo-in for the top 4. In fact, we'd probably be 3rd.

I only wish I could give two "Winners" for this.

whilst this is true to an extent

1) NOBODY wanted Sherwood.
2) you cant just extrapalate a whole season from a set number of games. He came in and unshackled players and they responded to that. Im not saying it wouldnt have continued. But there is no way of proving it would
3) Bar one or two players all the players are the same as last seaosn. So doesnt this say more about the players than the multiple managers we have had?

Id take Charlie Austin from QPR, I think that his rough and ready attitude is precisely what we need.

I'm all for giving Poch a bit of time BUT if we are to finished below Swansea, I think it should really be considered he gets the sack. Sorry.

He's probably on bonus to miss the Europa league ;)

Yep. I agree. I'm not sorry in the slightest.

This is meant to show no disrespect to Swansea - or indeed Soton - but to finish below possibly both of them and out of Europe altogether would be absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable. That's more than a transition year, that's just pure shambolic failure.

(This is not to excuse the players either, who can't seem to stir their lazy, over-paid arses to play for the whole season and show respect for the fans and the club. Should pull a Schalke and start suspending people).

I'm genuinely scared we'll finish 8th. If Swansea beat City, we could be fucked. I'm not exactly confident we will beat Hull either.

lol I would never have imagined us finishing 8th with near enough a fully fit squad all season, I expect us to win our last two games anyway and possibly get fifth definitely getting sixth.

Just seen that video of the Spurs fans singing were shit
