It's maddening. Its quantity over quality. Why spend 60 mil+ on these three when you could buy kovacic or someone like that for the price of all three and actually make a genuine impact and improve the position and the team?
I agree with you DTX. But hey, who knows, perhaps we're keeping our powder dry until the end of the window, and we'll look to go big on a top quality midfielder then? I live in hope mate! But I think it's more likely we'll revert to 433.

We haven’t as yet bought any of them. I’d wait until we have before you get mad.

No way will we spend £40/50m on a mid. Only reason I can think of is that we're keeping things really hush hush. I'm not even sure we'll go 4-3-3, could easily be the same old 4-2-3-1 with a Dier and Wanyama/Sissoko double pivot. It will mean other potential signings such as Martial, Pulisic etc will have minimal effect.

FFS the reaction to some of these players interesting us from some of you is embarrassing. he is an option at the moment nothing more than that, and should he come it will be because Poch has given it the green light..

Honestly if all you only ever want to hear is good news, or you are too emotionally vulnerable to deal with hearing stuff you don't like or agree with, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG FUCKING PLACE.

I'm all for criticising Levy/Poch/the players, when they have fucked up, but as it stands all we are is looking at him. You wouldn't get that from reading some of the replies in here though.

No way will Bale go for as little as 50 million and it is unlikely IMO the Dutch lad will go for less than 60 million.
Eh, we'll see. Regardless of how talented Bale is he's an injury prone 29 year old winger those are just the facts. Tack on the fact that Real Madrid don't typically ask for obscene fees for there players (they sure got Chelsea though) I don't see anyone who would pay more than that. Additionally I just don't see Ajax being able to get that much for a teenager, maybe with add ons but at the end of the day 60 million euros would have been the 4th most expensive signing of the window last summer and I can't imagine this summer is as crazy as last was with fees. Man City/Barcelona/PSG/ManU completely changed the scenery and I don't see that much crazy money being thrown around this summer, just my opinion.

Well said ! If you don’t look how do you access a player and his fit for your team?

This would be the same player that said he had one injury that kept him out at the beginning of the season and has been fit since and at 29 should be at the peak of his career and just scored the goals to win the champions league including a worldy? that is the bale you're referring to yes? any since when did fees and wages go down?

Without opinions this place would be dead. Take the negative opinions with the positive ones. Some of us post both.

Didn’t we look last summer and not go for him.
He’s performances since then have been awful and he’s said he doesn’t like football anymore.

So I’m not entirely sure why we’d be looking again tbh

Because that makes entirely too much sense for Spurs

I mean I think I covered it all in my post... he's had significant injuries for the past several years.
