Stories.....

Stories needn't be fictional, you know.

Apart from Cuddles, who was a free agent, our last signing from Chelsea was Poyet. Neil Sullivan went the other way on a free a couple of years later. I really don't envisage any additions either way in the foreseeable future,

Not worth discussing, in short.

Yea I am aware but also they shouldn't be used as evidence to support an argument when they're mostly hear say and ITK rumours

The thing is Chelsea players are of a higher calibre than what we generally buy in terms of their transfer fee and wage demands and there is always plenty of competition for their players (from clubs who won't try to play hardball the way Levy will)

Personally I don't think they don't deal with us because of bad blood I just think because of our transfer policies no deals are ever made

They would only ever want our elite players and we obviously would rather sell out of the Prem when off loading those (I don't think its because of bad blood we refused to sell Modric to them either)

But yea there's no point discussing the matter as there's no reason to think we would buy players from or sell to them in the foreseeable future either way, regardless of any bad blood

You are correct, plenty of bad blood between the clubs at the top level

We're not getting Schurrle. Why do people do this to themselves; hanging off of every tiny scrap of information that makes it into the gutter press and then needlessly spouting rhetoric about it.
Why not discuss links that actually have a little credibility and realism?

There was a link... lol... but there was, so we can discuss. Not one person here has entertained the idea of it being realistic, so there is no harm and there is certainly no one hanging off these scraps.

We all know we won't get him even if interested.

I am sure they would sell to us but there would be a 'Spurs premium'

Like if a player was on sale for 20m they would demand 25m off us

So Chelsea have been buying better players since Poyet? What ALL of them?

Only just seen this thread and have to say I've rarely read a bigger load of old rope even from the express, chelsea selling Schurle because they are buying Bale from Madrid or Goetze from Munich:) thats enough to put it in the fantasy bag never mind whether they'd sell to us or not.

Poch was asked about him today (a bit out of nowhere?) and didn't deny anything. Wonder if there is any substance. He would be a great signing but probably unrealistic.

Would be a great signing IMO, but we'd have to pay a huge fee for him - and his wage demands would be bloody high I'd assume.

I know you'd think they wouldn't sell to us, but if our offer was big enough they'd sell. They sold Mata to United, a bigger rival than we are despite our rivalry.

The problem of course is that I doubt they'd view Levy's 6 million, final offer, tempting enough.
