Rubbish. Even during the Man U match he couldn't bring himself to suggest we could win the game or criticise Rapheal.

Haha you're having a laugh.

What do you mean criticise Rafael? I think most would accept that it was a harsh sending off  He's been praising us for ages.

It was banter though, if he had called someone a nigger or slagged off muslims then that is hatred this was just jokey banter, Top Gear football style.
Ahhhh, just jokey banter.

Well, next time I'm in the pub I'll throw around a few references to darkies, paki shops and towelheads before heading off for a chinky's.

Hilllaaaaarious I tell you....such banter.

I just don't get all this hate for andy gray? I think the guy is absolutely brilliant at his job and is normally spot on with everything he says. Really enjoy the 'last word' as well and alongside Martin Tyler, I don't think there are any better out there. I am gutted he has been sacked tbh.
I don't particularly like or dislike Gray's analysis before/after games, but, as you say, Gray and Tyler together were great and were my favourite commentating pair around. I'm a bit sad that I'll probably never hear them commentating again. Sky seemed to keep them apart a lot in the last few years though and whoever was stuck with Gray was sucking up to him, which helped inflate his ego further, and Tyler was normally stuck with someone shit (*cough* Alan Smith *cough*).

According to the news Gray wasn't sacked for those comments it was for suggestively holding his knob behind a white board whilst making leud remarks about a young female colleague presenting on the other side of the white board last month which has come to light.
Something like that anyway.
I have no problem with him going if that's the case but surely all but a few of the skysports female presenters are only there as eye candy anyway aren't they.

I don't love Andy Gray but it's ridiculous to say he slags us off, we can do no wrong going by his commentary over the past year or so.

I said that if he had been racist or had spoken islamic hate or whatever then he should be sacked but this was tame compared with what goes on in almost every office and factory right across the country

So what you are saying is that if something happens enough it makes it ok?

I really hate when people try to align Racism Sexism and Homophobism (ism) under the same brash they're completely different subjects and not on the same scale at all.

I can't understand why people feel the need to say 'Oh why have sympathy for Grey, what would you say if it were a Racist comment off camera...it's rubbish, totally foolish insulting comparison.

So how exactly does this scale of offensiveness of yours work then?

What Gray said was no big deal, annoying cock though he can be he deserves a lot of sympathy over this and I hope he cleans up at a tribunal for unfair dismissal.

The ref herself didn't mind, she is not a bra burner, she even posted a provocative pic of herself in a miniskirt online so she didn't give a damn about what Gray said, this was middle aged men in suits who think they know what women are offended by

I guess this is the world we live in now so we shouldn't be surprised of this outcome, you can't say anything anymore without offending someone although I do think Keys and Gray were somewhat misguided in theirs. I remember when Rodney Marsh was sacked over his comments about the tsunami which I thought very harsh on him and prefer to have characters like him on TV than emotionless yes men.

You would have thought Sky Sports News would have at least got this breaking news before anyone else. They couldn't even do that...

To be fair they do have a point when it comes to women in football.
