Helder Postiga, Pedro Mendes, Jose Mourinho, Gedson Fernandes, Matt Doherty, Carlos Vinicius & Nuno Espirito Santo.

None of Jorge Mendes clients have ever worked out for us.
Mendez was good enough I always thought.

I can't keep up with all this Fati stuff, can i ask if its actually a done deal with Brighton or is it still at a stage where things could change ?

I only ask as i can't quite get my head round Brighton being able (or willing) to pay a large part of his wages, and i am pretty sure Barca are only loaning him out in order to clear FFP room, so they'd want as much of his wages as possible off the books.....so that would lead me to believe that regardless of who the player wanted to play for, Barca will send him to the club who will take the biggest chunk of his wages off of their books this season. So, if we actually do want him that badly and we were happy with the conditions surrounding the future buy options, we can very much still do this deal because we can blow Brighton's wages out of the water. Is that not the case ?

Why would Brighton go for such a big name when they have Mitoma? Unless, could Ange finially get his man? What a signing Mitoma would be.

Crazy thing about this one is last night at 8:00pm we were ambiguous, didn't know which way this would go and weren't going to lose any sleep over him, by 9:00pm we all thought we'd done the deal and by 10:00pm the world had ended.

I genuinely don't recall this. I know he's been mentioned throughout the summer but I thought that was just saying he could be an option we turn to (think WLB said this a few times), rather than being someone we were actively chasing?
I’m sure we had ITK ether in this thread or the main thread that we have wanted him for a while but we knew we would only get a shot at the end of the window if Barca hadn’t of sorted out their finances by then.

@Rob also mentioned that we’ve wanted him since April a few pages back and that was info backed up by ITK.

I'm almost certain they will play Fati as a 10 behind the striker, rather than out wide.

As I said yesterday Fati isn't really a winger and does his best work in central areas, especially now he has lost his explosiveness.

They will play him centrally as Enciso is out until Xmas time.

Even if they are not paying everything I do find it crazy Brighton are willing to cover most of his €230k contract.

Sevilla counter offer threatens Fati's move to Brighton
A potential twist over Ansu Fati's future.
Mail Sport's Rob Draper reports that Sevilla have made a counter offer for Fati which could put a spanner in the works for Brighton.

I’m really surprised Barca would be willing for him to go to a club that won’t cover all his wages. Idk, something just feels off with all this. I wonder if this is all Mendes leaking info in the hope that one club caves and agrees to cover everything on their terms.

Brighton will pay 80% of his salary. Flippin' 'eck.

He's also said we dropped out yesterday morning which ties into the Times report about him not wanting to come to us. Hopefully that means Johnson is further along.
