One thing against him is that the players at Man Utd were on camera joking about him always being miserable and complaining. Doesn’t sound like the kind of character Poch likes.
Henry was a very sulky player, so too was Anelka. It could simply mean that he cares and isn't happy in the environment Mourinho creates, it's not the first time a very good player has complained about things under him.

A lot of people seem to think we have no chance because of Mourinho. However, if Mourinho doesn't think he's got what it takes for his team then why should he care what Martial could bring to another team, it's obvious he doesn't trust his ability. Secondly, if we are the only team putting down, say, a 50m bid and Mourinho has been told he needs to shift players on before they bring in who he wants then that puts us in a good position because if the player wants to join then Mourinho isn't getting much of a choice.

Not saying that's how it'll pan out or that's currently the situation, just that I don't see us having 'no chance' because of Mourinho.

I think Mourinho has been on record saying that the club can't expect loads of signings this summer (may have imagined it), which seems to me that he's been told funds may be limited or at least until he shifts a few out.

He doesn't play as striker for united. He plays a flexible role behind Lukaku and switches across the AM.

I think he would displace any of our AM players barring Eriksen.
Probably son. Then with the extra AM we get rid of llorente and son becomes striker cover, I’d be fine with that he’s a different option to Kane.

Son is an integral part of the team, when he is on form he is electric. I'm not sure it's as simple as letting this player or that player go. Martial would add an important tactical flexibility to the am3 as he can play across it. With him & son it would allow for more interchange with HK too. But, importantly allows for dropping players, be it through form, injury or for tactical reasons. Llorente just hasn't worked at spurs. I could see him staying as a coach / back up but surplus to playing requirements.

We have seen our issues with injuries this season.

Or playing 4-3-3 with Martial and Son flanking Kane.. with Wanyama/Eriksen/Alli as the 3... very attacking so unlikely, but City would happily play that.

I'm not sure it is a case of letting Son go, he is twenty six in July and is obliged by law to do national service in Korea at the age of twenty seven so next season may well be his last.

against sides who park it (we've had a lot of them recently, and we look average trying to break it down) I'd love to see this kind of team.

Does this seem realistic to you? Genuinely interested
Yes of course have you not noticed we splash money on really expensive players without suffering in any other way. The realistic side to this is Shane Long and Nathan Redmond

I'm not a Llorente fan, but we bought him so we had a plan B. Whenever he gets on we still stick to plan A instead of playing to his strengths. Not the guy's fault. He did an excellent job away to Real Madrid. I personally think Poch just hates Swansea for some reason and wanted to see them relegated.

I don't really see why we would be in for Martial considering that he is a very similar player to Son but Son is demonstrably better

I love Son but IMO Martial has all the potential to be an absolute worldy if developed correctly, if we can get him we should get him.

From a ESPN Reporter on twitter (@robdawsonespn) "Mourinho said Anthony Martial would play today but he's not in the squad. No reason given yet. He was at Old Trafford about 12pm but drove away." Seems he could be gone? Good news for us perhaps?

He's gone for sure. Just have to wait and see where. I can't imagine he ends up here.
