Mourinho would crap himself if we got Martial. He's a perfect fit for us and Mourinho knows it.

I dunno about that, we're still challenging them, I fail to see how our financial level has anything to do with it. Not trying to shit on the ITK but the last time Manchester United sold us a player was in 1936.

Mad to hear we were so close to signing him last summer when none of the media picked up on it

Mate reckons Bayern are very keen. Says either there or Italy are the most likely destinations.

Heard same, that’s why I will not make a brave announcement like HY, but so hope he is right.

Martial makes so much sense for BM. And they could probably offer more game time straight away. With Riberys age and Lewa potential going Martial would be starting straight away. Really tho, once Martial becomes/became available for what I would assume is a reasonable fee (considering his contract situation) I would expect much bigger fish then us to be interested.

Not in any way disregarding the ITK but Bayern are typically very shrewd operators in the transfer market and don't pay massive fees for players. Their record transfer (Tolisso at £37.35m) is less than ours. I don't see them as a very likely landing spot for a player that United are reportedly demanding nearly £80m for.

Then again I also don't see us as a possible landing spot for an £80m player either.

His value is well below even 60m, and he ideally WANTS to stay in EPL!

Does not mean it will happen though

Well if he wants to stay in the premier league rule out everybody but City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and us, rule out City as he won't cross the city and they won't be after him, there is no reason Liverpool need him with the players he already has so that leaves the three London clubs.
I am not sure he would view Chelsea as a club where he'll be treated any better than he feels he has been treated at United which in my opinion leaves us and Arsenal and that's it, I can't make any further case either way other than it seems we have been in for him so often and very big last summer which might help him decide.
So taking everything into account it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up at Juve.

I would think that Man Utd would want to use him as a bargaining chip to get a player they want. But Bayern won't give up any players who Utd would need. My guess would be that Martial would be used to facilitate the transfer of either Willian, Alderweireld, Alex Sandro, or maybe Pulisic. They'd be dumb not to demand a player in return for a player of Martial's talent though imo.

Although personally I'd prefer to get Herrera from them in a deal for Toby if that happens.

Would Martial get any say in all this ?

Latest report saying Mourinho trying to use him as a makeweight in a deal with Dortmund to bring Pulisic to United, good idea but I doubt Martial will go along with it.

The speculation about Martial highlights the difference between the EPL and other european Leagues. Getting into the CL from the EPL is a tough, tough competition in its' own right whereas in other countries it's much more straightforward. In that respect, EPL clubs are very wary about strengthening their domestic rivals in case it hinders their CL qualification. However, if those clubs have any aspirations to win the CL they shouldn't be strengthening their european rivals either. It seems that the cash cow of CL qualification is of paramount importance here, whereas for many other clubs it's pretty much guaranteed.

DO we even have room for him? Son, Lamela, Eriksen, Dele and Lucas means we have loads of options out wide, cant see us selling any one of those so I don’t see how he fits in

My thoughts exactly, plus why would he move to go from one bench to another? Sure he would get more game time but I can't see him starting ahead of Alli, eriksen or Son any time soon.
