I actually thought he played quite well and if he had only put away one of his chances it would have been a very good performance.

keane is single minded and misses glorious chances
he can put away a spectacular goal every 20 gms and gets about 8 in total average, taht's about it
i wouldn't suggest pavly, maybe crouch as a tester and make jermain the main man

thought Keane was poor today - he missed three great chances in the first half. unfortunately, Crouch looked no better.

His petulant reaction to Gomes' rush of blood to the head was also a little OTT considering the chances he missed.

I think the majority will say Keane played well. If Liverpool had a different keeper in then Keane would have probably had two goals today. He linked up well today, especially with Modric.

No.

He did 10x the work of Defoe.

Saw very little of Defoe which suprised me alot.

Unbelievable how the Defoettes can get the daggers out so quick, Keane had three chances to score or miss, Defoe was barely even in the game

Im not a big fan of Keane, but I can still appreciate that he worked pretty hard closing the defenders down.

People may say he missed three chances but it was his movement that got him in with the opportunities in for all 3 chances.

He will get playing time throughout the season, I feel Harry played Defoe and Keane specifically because Liverpool's Centre back are hardly known for their pace. So I think it was the right choice to make regardless of performance.

He played well and was unlucky Reina made two great saves... We can do without fans like you after a great performance from the lads

He got in the right positions, played well alongside modric.

He will score goals this season, he is lacking a bit of confidence atm.

I've never been a fan of the Keane-Defoe partnership but Keano did alright and as a pairing they caused Liverpool concern. Perhaps 'arry's missus could have scored the header but at least Keano got in good positions and on another day he would have scored. Hopefully we'll get to see a fair few different partnerships (I still love Pav and hope he and Defoe get a crack) over the coming months and one will prove to be the best. At the moment I have no idea which that will be.

We definitely looked better going forward with Keano than with Crouch, soon as he came off we stopped passing and started playing long ball football.

I thought Keane was good today, he would of been excellent if he had taken one of his chances. Alot more effective than Defoe.

can we stop slagging off our own players especially when we have just played a top 3 side off the park.

he worked hard, he linked up well. yes his finishing could have been a bit better but what more do you want????

3 points wednesday night and a good start to the season

Defoe and keane dont gel as a strike pair and wont get goals playing as a team but rather individuals. Keano was unlucky not to get at least the header saved by reina.
Having said that Redknapp got it right. We got the win. A great result. :) kedos to the team.
