Are we better than Chelsea?

We're not too far behind them, but we are behind them. If they hit a run of bad form like last year then it won't be impossible to finish above them.

Man Utd were perhaps deserved winners, but Chelsea gave them a real game and opened them up on a lot of occassions.

Do not underestimate them, they have some good play makers and if Torres finds form they will be a real threat.

I think 3rd is theirs this season unless City falter (which they may do).

Not to say we can't beat them, but consistency over a season is a different matter and until we show that consistency I do not see how we can say we are better than any of UTD, CITY, Cheslea, Arsenal...

End of the season will determine things, but if you're asking me whether I think we have the players to beat Cheslea, then yes, I believe we do.

Lord give me strength. We have 1 good striker compared to Chelseas 3 or 4. Lukaku can't even get into their starting 11 and people were begging levy to buy him in the summer.

We have won 2 games. That's TWO games.

I dont think it is a reflection of how good we are, but more of how they have declined.

Sturridge and Lukaku have potential, but they are not prime Anelka and Drogba.

Merieles and Ramires really arnt that great.

They are very beatable.

Until we can finish top 4 in a Champions League season we're still behind Chelsea and Arsenal. Even if we finish above them this season we still need to prove we can juggle the League and Champs League before we can be considered better. That's what seperates the best from the rest. It's the next step up for us but I think we can do it.

I think we are closer than ever at the least. Looking at the lineup against Man U I thought they looked light in midfield and up front.

Drogba fit adds a new dimension to their team, but without him they look goal shy.

We have played Man City and Utd, yet won the other 2 games. Chelsea have had some favourable fixtures, the only standout result being a win away to Sunderland. They were spanked at Old Trafford.

I dont think we are too far away from them, provided Adebayor stays fit of course.

we play with more flair, and more style.
They win more and grind out more results.
We need to add some of chelsea's drive, ruthlessness and will to win to our flair game and we will be more than a match for them if we stay injury free.

Also, don't rule Torres out just yet - showed some real signs of coming back into form v utd, and if he does he is a top top striker.
