no, crap post.

1) We spent £5m net this summer - which is peanuts.

2) We have a salary cap so there are no over-paid players in our team - in fact Keane was on a highest paid player clause so his sale has helped reduce wages further.

3) We haven't just borrowed tens of millions of pounds to pay for a new stadium, only to then go and blow it on players instead.

4) We aren't counting on european qualification this season to keep us afloat.

Unfortunatley your post shows you know little about what happened at Leeds.

edit: 5) If we did start to slip Levy and co. would likely sell up the club to a big money foreign investor.

In fact with Newcastle being touted as worth almost £500m by Ahsley, i'd say by the same reckoning Spurs are currently worth £700m. Knock £100m off both those figures and you're probably at their actual current worths.

I'm sure some of these Arab based investors would LOVE to get their hands on a big London club, i would think we've already had approaches over the last few seasons from a number of these. Given the profit we turned last season, i would think being bought out if things don't turn around a lot by Xmas is a real possibility.

No at least Leedas had a an excuse, they were rotting from the inside out, a tickign time bomb.

We, however, run a sustainable business model and are up there with the top 3 spenders in the country, have a huge, loyal fan base and yet we're absolutely woeful.

looking at net spend is a bit ofa distortion unless you're looking at our business model. In reality we have spent a shitload of money on supposed world beaters
