Will the below signings help us get Top 4 or Not?

Freidel in.
Parker supposedly too.
Linked with Neville, Klose & Beckham.

Are these the players that will power us to a top 4 finish or are they just famous names to plump up the squad?

Have we been linked to Neville in this window?

Surely last window it was Parker or Neville.

To answer your question....they're adding strength in depth which in my opinion is a good thing.

Neville? no way,.. Klose? might be useful,... Beckham? don't need the circus surounding his presence,... Parker? good golly, a never was, I hope not...

Freidel and Klose are the only 2 mentioned here that improve the team overall and Spurs have already signed Freidel...

Parker is a step back,... is he any better than JJ?... nope, so why bother?

That'll be why JJ was pushing for player of the season right?

Parker has done nothing,.... stood out on a mid table Charlton side,... couldn't get a game with, Chelsea,.... did't do anything but run around lik a chicken with his head cut off.

Parker would occupy the same place in the Spurs' squad as JJ and have about as much impact.... JJ might stand out in a squad like the spammers as well...

Either way, n net improvement to the team... :violin:

I agree with this, would much rather see Parker playing for us instead of JJ.

The point is NEITHER of them are good enough to play for the current Spurs team, much less improve it. I would rather see both of them playing for anyone else... :hello:

Good question, but it's not as if we've already signed those players mentioned. I just think, only time will tell. Hopefully we'll get someone like Drogba or Adebayor in which would really have us looking a lot more like a top 4 team.

If we had signed Neville we would of made Top 4 IMO

People on this board have been so blind this month, We lost games because with slowed down our tempo when we scored thinking we could defend

If there was someone on the pitch to give the players a kick up the arse and tell them to carry on looking for the next goal, you need experience and even the Man utd kids team still had experience of winning a title and one or two players older players

Harry doesn't want load the squad of old players otherwise we wouldn't be interested in Hazard and Leandro

No is the closest answer to my feelings.
I have a deep feeling of unease about these transfer dealings ,suspect the motives and would have preferred something more imaginative.
Parker is a decent enough player but I can't see the logic behind signing him, playing for us is a different discipline than being 1st choice in a struggling side where he could run about chest puffed out make hard tackles and people would praise him for his passion and commitment.
Just because he won the fat bearded West Ham supporting journalists footballer of the year is no reason to sign him an if Harry had got him and or Neville when he wanted I doubt he would have given a chance to Sandro.
Friedel is 40 and in decline and I worried about the age our squad could become.

If it troubles you that much don't post in here then we've signed Brad it's a perfectly legimate question on a Spurs forum to discuss all things Spurs.

But there's no concrete evidence Harry is trying to buy Neville, Beckham or Klose. And what about the other players we've been linked with like Drogba, Leandro, Lavezzi.

You can't judge Harry's signings on conjecture and tabloid links, it's pointless until the players are actually signed.
