Just looked this match up to see the squads. Crespo and Riquelme started for Argentina, and Kovac for Croatia. That's how long ago it was.

Like most (apart from @JCRD ) I am and always have been a massive admirer of Messi, and if he wasn't Argentinian I'd be absolutely desperate for him to win the World Cup now we are out.

I’d personally love Croatia to win. I haven’t been over impressed with Argentina and although it’s the match up many seem to want Mbappe v Messi, for me I’d rather Croatia make it through.
