Sure, the semis at the 2014 WC were a bit of a borefest between these two, but this still is one of the all times international classics. . Argentina probably has the edge based on individual talent and the support of the crowd, but the Netherlands has Louis Van Gaal, who's at the very least twice the strategist Scaloni could ever hope to be.

This is a really close one to call, I'm hoping for an Argentina victory, but won't be at all surprised if they end up getting defeated. Whatever bit of magic Messi may still have left, they are most certainly going to need it this Friday night.

I will be very disappointed if the Dutch deny us an Argie v Brazil semi final. I've been looking forward to that game ever since the draw was made.

Yeah, I know. I've been hoping for them to meet in a WC since I was a child. Well, I already was 2 years old when they met at Italy 90, but I don't really remember anything about it (my mom says I did watch that WC with my dad, both of us watching the games at around 3 am here in our country).

This is so close to call, hoping for an argy win. Will be watching with a bunch of argentos here 4pm our time. Let's hope holanda don't spoil the asado after! Agree on the Brasil Argentina semi.

Netherlands for me. I'm not entirely convinced by Argentina - even with Messi. The Dutch, on the other, appear more well rounded, as a team.

Argentina have got going. De Paul is an animal in that midfield. His work rate is insane.

Alvarez looks the nuts and then there's Messi.

I think at top gear they're way above the Dutch.

Fully expect them to go through.

De Paul played well against Australia, I still wasn't convinced overall by the team. De Paul can crumble under pressure, he's had some bad press here recently and it has affected him. Let's see, maybe Argentina need a better team to play to shine.

After seeing what Brazil and Croatia are doing right now, I expect this match to also be as boring and risk averse as that one.

Romero in another life would be a hitman for a cartel or rogue paramilitary unit man. The guy is bloodthirsty. Maybe a bit too reckless.

No, It’s Englands to lose!

It was fifty five years ago and they found it in the end. Let it go.
