Am I the only one who thinks Harry DOES actually come across as bitter in that Guardian interview?

Really? He had no idea?

This is the downside of Arry as all his good work gets undone when he just out and out lies n the press.

Oh please every manager lies to the press, it's part and parcel of the job. PR is PR. You feed the press stories, leak information all the time.

Some of our supporters, and I'm not suggesting you are one of them, need to do what Harry has done and move on.

Yes. It's the interpretation you want to get out of it so you do. I often include Scotoma in courses and coaching, for instance when you buy a car you keep seeing the same car on the road, far more than you did before. Your subconscious is justifing your decision and reinforcing it as the right one.

I just never got the feeling that Harry genuinely loved it at Spurs.

I personally think we've upgraded, and I hope AVB falls in love with us and doesn't go Mercenary if he becomes successful.

Harry has been a manager over 30 years and the team he had at Tottenham was the best and played the best football of any of them, plus it was the best paid job of his career - I bet he loved it

As for Andre Villas-Boas I hope Levy matches his ambitions

Okay, this will sound a bit off centre to some, but stay with me for a moment. Harry was let go for "political" reasons theoretically. So, there's this matrix developed regarding types of leaders and what to do with them as their superior called "Field Marshal Moltke’s Four Types of Military Officer." With Levy as the superior officer, just for fun which category below do you think he placed Harry in? :playful:

Prussian Field Marshal Helmuth Karl Bernhard Graf von Moltke (1800-1891) developed this interesting Value Matrix to categorize his officer corps.

• Smart & Lazy: I make them my Commanders because they make the right thing happen but find the easiest way to accomplish the mission.
• Smart & Energetic: I make them my General Staff Officers because they make intelligent plans that make the right things happen.
• Dumb & Lazy: There are menial tasks that require an officer to perform that they can accomplish and they follow orders without causing much harm
• Dumb & Energetic: These are dangerous and must be eliminated. They cause things to happen but the wrong things so cause trouble.

Third place was his to lose last season.

The court case would have been a big weight on his mind and I was glad when he was cleared but during that period our form didn't suffer.

It dropped as soon as he was linked to England.

Then as soon as Woy got the job we started playing better again.

Then he expects a four year contract in the summer having looked to bail on us just a short while ago.

I liked the football we played under Harry, but I did start to get a tad bored with his constance daliances with the press.

I was very concerned when we sacked him as it would have been a lot safer just to stick with and was 50-50 on AVB due to a not very good impression of himself at Chelsea (I have to admit I didn't really like him when he was there) but he's really starting to show his qualities and comes across a LOT better then he did at the Chavs.

Amazing what being at a better quality club does for you eh...? ;)

Harry is actually a fantastic human being. Its a shame that the public perception of him is so poor.

I thought this comment was funny:

Daniel's not going to say: 'Good old Harry, let's help him out. I love QPR.' He isn't going to give us a special deal because it's me. He'll look to get whatever he thinks someone's value is, that's what he does. And January is his time of year. He'll be offering those 'three for one' deals, or buy one get one free, on the last day. That's how he works."
And people think Harry is the wheeler dealer :p

he is irritating me , he just does not stop talking about the past and says what ever he wants. I am so glad AVB does not media whore in the way harry does, avb is constructive redknapp just goes on and on.

Yes but the annoyance was it should have been 4th, 4th, 3rd and Arry never acknowledged an underperformance. That is what cost him his job

Fair enough if that's what you believe. Each to their own onion.

Personally I am more than happy with what he achieved and look back fondly at some of the best football I have ever seen from a Spurs side under his tenure.

Anyways, this really has been done to death.

Besides, I have to nip to the offy and rush back to get my seat warm for the match.
