Draw would be a decent result. Despite our new signings, i dont get how people are getting so carried away. Theres normal games and then there are nld, the northen lot are in the same boat aswell today. The rules go out the window, anything could happen.

UNLEASH THE HERD !!!!!!!! We will savage them in the middle of the park like a pack of hungry wolves ... problem is their wide outlets are quite good vs our full backs.

The herd were arsenals little hooligan firm lol

Not sure we'll win today as i think that this game has come a little early in the season for us. The scum always raise their game against us and i'm not convinced were ready as a unit yet.

Players need time to gel properly and with signings coming thick and fast it must be difficult for AVB and boys. Still they prove me wrong by going out there and smashing the scummers 4 - 0 and we'll all celebrate all night....COYS

Don't see Lamela and/or Eriksen starting this.

This will be unlike anything most have experienced in football. Just getting into the ground will be an eye opener for some...

Lets hope no one lets the occasion get the better of them (unless they're in Red ;) )

Is it wrong to feel too confident going into a NLD?

I'm not predicting we'll batter them or anything like that but I just don't see us losing today - we haven't even conceded a goal yet this season and I can't see us not scoring so I say bring it on and let's go into this with a positive mindset.

Walcott is the danger man

He always seems to get something against us. Not looking forward to seeing how Rose copes with Walcott to be honest. Rose's saving grace from having poor defensive positioning is that he's a bit nippy. Walcott's even nippier. I guess this will show us if he's really cut out to be our left back this season.

I've never seen Wilshere dominate a game against us, he's usually fairly quiet. I'm confident our big boys will keep him quiet. Ramsey has been more dangerous lately to be honest. Cazorla and Rosicky can be tricky customers. We'll also have to watch the aerial threat of Mertesacker and Giroud at set pieces, the big German normally causes us trouble.

We have two fullbacks who give away unnecessary fouls against tricky wingers. Let's hope our defensive set pieces have improved.

Arsenal fans on their forum... Most are predicting them to thrash us, not even in a jokey way either.

I just can't fathom how they come to that conclusion.

Also apparently our line-up today will be 'bang average'

They are as Arrogant and nieve as there manager, They deserve each other.

My guts are in a knot and it's still 3 hours to go. I would lve 9/9 points at 6 pm (GMT), but I'm not sure. Like someone said, we will destroy them at WHL.

I have a suspicion that AVB might put Verts at LB for the game today and play Kaboul and Dawson in the middle, giving us a bigger and more physical back line. That defence combined with our beastly midfield should see us dominate the game physically and if we can get the ball forward to the attackers, I can see us doing well today. COYS!

I'm worries about their wide men against our full backs.

We should win the midfield battle though.

Who knows?! Could go either way.

COYS!

According to the Romanian press apparently the documents for Chiriches were a bit late and he will miss the NLD. They report he is on his way back to Romania this afternoon to reunite with the national squad, to prepare for the international games.

Out of the three newcomers, he was always the one going to miss out on the bench for today's game. No way you can throw him straight into a NLD. I can see Lamela or Eriksen coming on in the 2nd half, especially if we are down and needing some creativity.

Arsenal don't worry me from set pieces but if they do threaten us, it'll be through targeting our fullbacks.

If Walker and Rose play well then we win as far as I'm concerned.

I thought Erikson was only confirmed Yesterday, He won't have a chance of playing.
