Great post. You just can't please some people. The last couple if windows people have whined about levytime and the need to get our deals done early. We do exactly that for some top quality players which on Saturday morning had some Spurs fans talking of winning the league. Fast forward 48hrs,losing 1-0 to arsenal & them buying Ozil means we are shit and will struggle for 6th. F*** me!!!! Really??!! I know we are a bi polar lot but that takes the piss.
For the first time in many years we truly have a full squad to cope in all competitions. Moaning that we have broke even? Looking at who we managed to get how is that a negative?
If youre unhappy with what has been our best transfer window in years, well take your two bit support to a two bit team.

Felt the same last night Monty and logged off just after 11pm.

Some of the posts were truly shocking. Many of the more ludicrous were from people who have been on here a long time, some back to 2004, and really should know better. Time to man up or ship out, maybe follow Harry down to QPR and cheer on BAE, obviously more important than cheering on what is supposed to be your team.

All the posts saying "no left back", "still a player away from a winning team", just sit back and think about it. Usually we were 3/4 players short of a challenging team, notably a star striker, a creative midfielder, a defensive midfielder, a centre half. Now we are talking about JUST being a left back short, and surely the collective improvement can help us cope with "only" having Danny Rose as our left back.

Just sit back watch the SQUAD gel and enjoy.

Or some of the season ticket owning silent when we're winning, booing when we're losing fuckwits.

The new Stadium will be a shock for them (hopefully)

I just hope it doesn't get full of them like it did at the Emirates. Unfortunately miserable, moneyed, whining fans have long been our backbone as well as our drawback

Fantastic post, I have really enjoyed sc coverage of this window, the mods did a fantastic job, but yesterday evening was a total embarrassment. I'm sure other teams will be pissing themselves with laughter in their "lets all laugh at Tottenham" threads.

Total utter crap was spouted from a bunch of whiney, spoilt brats last night, especially about how us, the 5th place team in the prem, should be able to stop Real Madrid, the biggest team in the world, from dealing with every other team in the prem.

At least the transfer window is over, the kids are back at school, maybe sc can return to some degree of normality now.

Well , I half agree Monty .

This forum includes all sorts . We obviously have a large contingent of the very young who are particularly vocal at transfer time .
Take a look at 12 yr old kiddies discussing football in the playground...its very combatative .

This forum is a one size fits all...the very experienced are talking to the very inexperienced . Its just the way it is . One poster over the page said we are being 'forced' to read this teeny bullshit....NO we aren't .You didn't need to hang round the transfer discussions.
If you heard the high voices of the kids talking rather than read their posts you'd just laugh at them .

Oldies have been ranting at the young since time immemorial . I'm sorry you and others allowed this to upset you .

I take exception however that somehow the kiddiewinks in here are worse than anyone else's kiddiewinks . We were all as stupid and shortsighted as them once . I advise a chill pill .

Well said. You are bang on it mate. I am from Malta and have been supporting Spurs for 46 years. I watch all of our games on tv here and I also come to see Spurs 5/7 times (at a hefty financial cost) every season at White Hart Lane - struggling to get access tickets of course -.
I do notice that so many are so damn quiet when we're winning and excessively abusive of our own when we're loosing. It pains me so much to witness such shameful, utterly embarrising and uncivilized behaviour. I sometimes ask myself, do they know what the meaning of 'Supporting the Team' is ?
As you well said, they are in for a shock with the new stadium - I will be hoping that it will be easier for me to get a season ticket then, in the hope that we will then get proper supporters.

True that, I'd love the Yellow Wall rip off that we're going to be having behind the goal to be safe standing, would make a lot of the old quiet ****s want to sit elsewhere

Hang on in there AB. I am old well oldish - 54 years - and whenever I can get to White Hart Lane from Malta, I am never an old quiet c***. Refer to my previous post in here.

Completely agree with the OP, especially regarding the criticism to the new players. I'm sure I read a post on here saying that Defoe is better suited to our system than soldado, but I face palmed so much last night my memory has taken a bit of a hit. I mean staggering display of thickness

The whining will never end. Even if we had signed a quality LB yesterday the moaners would have turned their attention to the fact that we haven't signed another striker. Then if we'd got one of those as well then Walker or Chadli would have been at the centre of the abuse no doubt. Just look at the squad we had last season, the difference in quality and depth is indisputable.

We're just the same as any other team and we all laugh at each other. People have different opinions and that's what makes a forum.

Some think we were good enough last year and should just have kept Bale and upgraded on a couple of other positions. Some others think we did the right thing but are still short, some thing we look great now.

Personally, I think Arsenal and Liverpool will be better than us this season, I think we'll take too long to gel. It was always going to be the risk with wholesale changes, but if nothing else, we shouldn't see any high profile departures at the end of this year and this team could grow relatively untouched for a year or two towards a title bid.

Always love it when armchair fans criticise the season ticket holders...

im a st holder and I can vouch that some of the st holders are the biggest pricks around in terms of shit support. I can think of 1 sadcwanker around me that goes to most games but thinks that gives him the devine right to be abusive to our players, as though they owe him something. its his life and he thinks hes the boss because all his comments are said loadly so his plastic mates laugh. its prettypathetic.

Easy, moneybags

Sorry but I take offence to that (not you, but the armchair critics). I make a lot of personal sacrifice both time wise and money wise, two things which are both at a premium for me unfortunately, to make sure I'm at every match at home and as many away as my pocket allows. Girlfriends and family are worked around the fixture list, jobs are limited to those which won't interfere with my Spurs following, and this had been the case since my first ST when I was a child. Nearly two decades on and I'm, and all those around me, still in the same seat, surrounded by fans as committed and passionate as me.

Yes, the atmosphere isn't always the best, but there are also times where it is unparalleled in intensity and ferocity. Judging by the fact that the faces around me are generally the same as those from when I was 11, or even for the previous 5/6 years to that before my first ST when I'd go on my uncles ticket while he was abroad, I refuse to accept any questioning of my and my peers quality of support for our club from people who don't know what it's like to invest that much love and commitment into the club, people who I question where they were when we were shit. I, and the faces around me, where there when we had Sinton and Fox on the wings, when Howells ran our midfield and when Austin and Edinburgh flanked our defence, and frankly we all deserve better than to have the way we support this club questioned.
