Decision on Giroud due today then, given how theyve riden their luck and been given numerous dodgy decisons in the run in, il wager he gets off scott free rather than miss the rest of the season.

Tbh I didnt see the tackle, anyone reckon it was a harsh red and likely to be overturned? Manc mate of mine said it was similar to Sidwells red?

Didn't see it either but a gooner mate said he slipped over going in for the tackle so that could be the only thing that saves him.

Slipped over my arse, his left foot went clearly over the ball.

If this red card gets rescinded then it just confirms the FA are in Arsenals pocket.

The Fulham goal was rightly chalked off, but funny how Van Persies goal last week and his third last night were both similarly offside but allowed to stand.

Pressure does strange things to people..................

I think the argument is that his right foot slipped making him slip backwards and sending the left foot higher than he intended.

No idea if that is what happened as I wasn't paying attention when they were on match of the day.

Is anyone else worried that now Utd have won the league and have nothing else to play for, fergie might tell his lads to go easy on the scum on Sunday, considering wenger virtually gave Utd the title by flogging them rvp?
Reading this back , it sounds mental but after the Suarez/ivanovic antics this weekend, nothing surprises me anymore.

No. Fergie wants to beat the highest points total ever. Rvp wants the golden boot. They are going to try and rip them apart.

Just saw Lineker tweet something about Giroud and being quashed. Thought it was the ban being quashed so came storming in here to add to the corruption but thought I better read it again...and it was the appeal that was quashed.

For the first goal the linesman was right in line and Valencia was only five yards from the touchline. The only thing you could say in his defence was that the margins were quite fine, but he couldn't have been in a better position to get it right.

There was a point in the first half where Giggs went in late and caught one of the Villa players. Definite yellow card but the ref and Giggs just laughed it off together. I know Giggs gets away with so much more than any other player, but there was a definite air of 'don't spoil the occasion' to that ref.

Quite rightly Giroud's appeal has been thrown out.

He's a better player than people give him credit for. Terrible finisher but great link up man on the edge of the area where they are dangerous with all their little one-two's.

In any case I'm worried about Man Utd. All their players will still be hungover by Sunday, I think Arsenal will beat them comfortably.

Look mate, I'm not in the mood for an argument, but do you not realise that we could have so easily got 3rd this season had it not been for our awful mistakes. Mistakes that only we are accountable for.

If Arsenal are being gifted favours, ok fine. But regardless, despite these favours (whether it's corruption or not) we only have ourselves to blame for not achieving our goals this year. The other thing that I can't get my head round - if Arsenal are buying off refs they're clearly shit at it because it's taking them right up to the wire to just about qualify for CL. Mate, if I were to buy off refs I'd do it properly and win the fucking title.

Well that would be too obvious wouldn't it?

Yes he was, although to be fair it was a marginal decision. Conspiracy theorists will say that it was a nice easy one to get wrong if that was the intention.

A more obvious example of them 'getting the breaks' from officials is probably the fact that Dowd took no action against Sagna after his second-half 'tackle' on Evra. He had been giving yellow cards all afternoon for relatively minor offences, but a late tackle from behind merited nothing. Had he been consistent then Sagna would have received his second yellow card and ManUre would have been playing against ten for a large chunk of the second half. Perhaps he didn't see it, although I don't believe that. Perhaps he thought that there was no contact - although that should have resulted in a card for Evra. Perhaps he simply bottled it. Perhaps not.
