Wallnut was well offside. The luck continues. Mind you, Martinez was not happy with Walker in the build up to our equaliser. Swings and Roundabouts

It wasn't even a difficult offside to spot. The linesman was right in line, Walcock was the closest player to him and was only ten yards away with no obstructions in his view and Walcock and the last defender were either side of the mowing lines of the grass. That was a gimme, as far as offsides go.

Looks like David Dein has coughed up more money this season than last, the Gooners will now be playing against Newcastle's reserve reserve keeper on the last day. :cautious:

Was the sending off a genuine red card though?

Was Watching.
Was definitely a yellow,as he had one previously, had to go.
Very stupid keeping,Harper can't be worse.
Realistically,it's down to Wigan to help themselves and us in the bargain.

Keepers don't usually get sent off for two yellows though do they? It's usually a straight red.

Not complaining about Harper playing though, he's a good experienced keeper.

Anyone know which hotel Arsenal will be staying in when they travel to Newcastle? I have some salmonella flavoured goodness to spice up their dinners. Meanwhile we should hire a food taster for our players, maybe that American chap from the TV that loves Spurs.

Newcastle had their goalie sent off today leaving them with their 3rd choice goalie playing against arseanal on the last day of the season. Wait a minute didn,t the same thing happen last year when west brom had to play their 3rd choice goalie? Guess who they played that day?

Well our second goal against Chelsea shouldn't have stood...

Don't let sense and reason get in the way of a good hissy fit. I find this thread quite embarrassing to be honest. There's plenty of threads like this on boards like Arsemania about how lucky we are. Let's not lower ourselves to their level and try to find excuses if we don't make the CL.

I think people had a point, they has a run where good luck seemed to follow them. I'm not sure they have that now. They looked nervy and poor against United and QPR.

I think with Newcastle essentially packing up to go on holiday now we are reliant on Wigan... let's hope they won momentum and spirit after their FA cup win and are not feeling leggy.

What utter nonsense. They may not have much riding on the game but these are Professional footballers we're talking about, not some sunday league team. And even if the players were a bit distracted by the end of the season they have a manger who wouldn't let them give any less than one hundred per cent . Actually, hang on a minute.....http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22513726

I know, but come on... it's like the whole Fergie wanting to win games post League win, of course they do, but there is nothing riding on it other than a bit of pride. If you fight and lose, so what... and Pardew's comments mean just that. "I want to fight still, but essentially, no one has to worry about a result".

You cannot tell me that with a 100% committed Arsenal fighting tooth and nail for CL that Newcastle will give as much and it might only be fine margins, but fine margins mean EVERYTHING in sport at the top level.

That is why Wigan are our better hope from a mentality aspect. They will be fighting for their lives, their fans, they want it, they need it. With results going the way they did, they HAVE to win against Arsenal now. It's another cup final with arguably bigger stakes. Do they still believe?

I'm sorry but I believe the Newcastle game is almost a given win for Arsenal, especially as on top of it all Newcastle are crap.
