My best mate is a aston villa fan and it is really starting to get on my nerves with him going on on on on about how great they are and how it was us that were them 2 years ago and how we should have taken our chance ! and hes going on about how there going to be in the champs league and how there going to give us a hiding!

is anyone else have the same off a villa mate?

then if you actually look at there squad it aint much better than ours with the exceptions of agbonhlarhor and young?

its frustrating to look at !

so today i had a internet search and i have found the highlights of our 5-1 against them not so long back and i plan to play it to him tonight :D

I live in the Midlands and I know loads of Villa fans, they try to give me the same. Yeah it should be us up there, it is frustrating and I hate the Villa but it would still be amazing to see the scum fail to qualify for the CL. So I just keep telling them that the scum are even more vulnerable now than they were when we spent the entire season in 4th spot, so they'd better not fuck it up. Or eat any lasagne.

I'm not a Villa hater, I think they're playing some great stuff and deserve to be where they are.
And the best thing, if they can get amongst the top four finishing places, it pushes one of the smug "top four" into 5th place. And the way it's going it looks like being L'Ars**al

Just the one t7ny? a win tonight and they're just four points from Chelsea and three clear of Arsenal and Man Utd.
I agree with you about them deserving to be where they are too, let them gloat they've earned the right and pretty soon they'll move onto bigger fish.

I agree, but I think of the four teams so far, it looks like the Scum are the weak one of the pack who are more likely to fall out.

God I hope so, all those Tin Cup jokes I got from the gooners I know will be rammed down their throats two-fold!

Even though we'll be lucky to get an Inter ToTo spot!

They were involved in an absolute dire game tonight against Hull, had one shot on target in the whole game and managed to get the luck of an own goal just before the end. They are 80/1 to win the league, with Woolwich 28/1. :duh:

It'll all end in tears mate. Their squad is thread bare - they've played the same eight out of eleven players all season and injury and suspension is going to hit them bad in the New Year. They will have to buy four or five to get depth in the squad if only for the numbers, not necessarily the quality.

The same accusation could be levelled at the goons. We live in hope :)

Let them gloat, I'd love them to get 4th spot off Arsenal. The Villa fans have also (like us in many ways) had to put up with some pretty poor years of football since the Premiership has started, and with the help of a great manager and some good british players, their really being a breath of fresh air in the race for 4th.

I hope they do it, and to be fair the match last night reminded me of a title winning team, let alone a top 4 team. They were shit for most of the match but still managed to win, the ball that Young delivered into the box for the goal was brilliant. With January right around the corner and the chance to add some depth to the squad I can see them clinching that top 4 place.

Does this not make life for us alot harder, instead of four clubs being above us in the pecking order there will be 5.

Personally i want whats best for us, not whats worse for arsenal.

But whereas Villa in a CL spot does not mean they've made it (see Everton 4 or so years ago), Arsenal missing out on the CL could have catastrophic financial ramifications at their end.

Oh, and even if O'Neill keeps Villa in a CL place for a 2nd year running, he'll then fuck off and get Fergie's job :)

Pretty much what I was going to say. Considering they are/were heavily in debt because of the Emirates stadium.

On another point, players like Fabregas, Adebayor, Van Persie, etc will want to be playing in the CL, not the UEFA so if they start to lose players such as the ones mentioned it can only be bad for Arse and godd for other teams.

And I can brag to my Uncles that we have a stronger squad for once!
