Hopefully this week will be a mirror image of last and this time Poch will make changes that affect the game and leave Villa unable to respond

Kaboul, Verts, Rose, Capoue, Erkisen, Chadli and Ade have all been poor but in my eyes the manager has to shoulder the brunt of the blame for what's going wrong at the moment

The formation and tactics are all wrong for the players at his disposal

Mason and Capoue clearly do not work as a 2 man midfield yet we continue to see it

Erkisen offers no cover to the full back and should never be used as a wide man it makes no sense

I can empathise with the man to an extent because a big part of the problem is the transfer policy has left us so unbalanced as a squad and the choices to make the table stable and successful is very difficult but right now he's banging his head against a stone wall and failing to react and influence games positively

Mason is more of an attacking mid from what I can see, or at least he's no component of a 2 man midfield unless tactically someone covers his roaming play because Capoue simply isn't capable of holding the middle alone and we're always over run and exposed at the back (not helped by the lack of backline leadership which always sees our full backs out of position and allowing space)

Kane, Lamela and Stambouli need to come on during this second half and we need to force the game to change some how

Poch has got this all wrong today so far - time for him to shake things up.

Capoue needs dropping

At least there are signs that our attack is making chances, we don't seem interested in cutting out crosses though and we're paying for it game after game.

Maybe we should start lining up with a Capoue - Stambouli - Dembele midfield while we're getting through this dodgy patch? We can't keep letting in these stupid goals.

Attacking wise played some reasonable stuff, and I think both strikers look more comfortable with someone alongside them. Wasteful finishing though.

Defensively a horror show. You need a hardworking midfield to get away with two up top, and we aren't getting back in as two banks of four, getting cut open with switches of play etc. It comes down to workrate and desire.

Kaboul vs. Benteke should be called off, not a fair fight.

All the back four though have made mistakes. Need to be tighter to their men.

Capoue is again nowhere to be seen, and how many times does he want to let a man run off him.

Goals to be had, but at both ends. Sort it out Spurs...

Fucking shambles. This villa side is woeful and they are causing us alsorts of bother. I give up with this lot. Nowhere near good enough to wear the shirt.

Fazio and Davies are beginning to look like very weird signings considering they're not getting in ahead of the defenders who were too shit last season

Should have just kept shop the last transfer window and kept what we had. But everyone likes a shiny new player (bang average or not) and would have had a paddy if we had do that.

Poch needs to earn his corn at half time. This team need a rocket up their arse. There are too many players that look like they don't care. The ability is fine but there's no effort. No energy. No passion. Tracking back is pathetic. Marking practically non existent. They have 1 striker and neither of our centre halves are picking him up.

Certain players need a long stint on the bench. The mentality is weak and attitude poor.

Too many of our midfield and front players are flat footed and putting in the minimum amount of effort it really is having the knock on effect of making our defensive confidence or lack thereof even worse chadli and eriksen being the worst culprits but they expose our backline so much. I realise Kaboul and Verts are not helping themselves much but we really are not pressing as a team at all. What happened to this poch pressing? Died a death on the training pitch? I just so not get it we are so not a TEAM it's not funny :-(

We really are in danger of sinking to the bottom of the table if our standard of play doesn't improve - and soon.

Making changes for the second half is absolutely essential.
