18:45 GOAL - Aston Villa 0-1 Tottenham - Jermain Defoe (57 mins)
Lovely pass leads to a lovely goal. Gareth Bale starts the move by taking on defenders in a mazy run, he has to check out and go back into midfield where Kyle Naughton slides in a gem of a ball to Jermain Defoe. A peach of a pass, Defoe is onside and as Brad Guzan comes out, Defoe flicks the ball through his legs with the outside of his boot. Classy finish.
18:49 GOAL - Aston Villa 0-2 Tottenham - Gareth Bale (61 mins)
A catalogue of errors - but take your hats off for a fabulous solo finish from Gareth Bale. Aston Villa actually begin with a smart attack, Christian Benteke drives into the area but his cut back is poor and it is hoofed clear. There are more than enough Villa defenders back though but one takes a bad touch, and then Joe Bennett's tackle on Aaron Lennon sends the ball into Bale's path. His first touch is magnificent though, flicking it past the last defender, and he then dances around Brad Guzan with ease before slotting into the net.
18:54 SUBSTITUTION Scott Parker is coming on for Mousa Dembele, who is struggling with a knock. Parker is working his way back to full fitness.
19:00 GOAL - Aston Villa 0-3 Tottenham - Gareth Bale
Great goal again as Gareth Bale kills off Aston Villa good and proper. Aaron Lennon is too sprightly for the defence, cutting in from the right before picking out Bale in space inside the area. He takes one touch before firing into the bottom corner.
19:06 SUBSTITUTION Spurs make a change, with Gylfi Sigurdsson on in place of Emmanuel Adebayor.19:12 GOAL - Aston Villa 0-4 Tottenham - Gareth Bale (84 mins)
Quality, quality goal as Aston Villa are left chasing shadows. Kyle Walker is given time and space on the right, he picks out the rampaging run of substitute Gylfi Sigursson down the right channel. The Icelander squares the ball first time to Gareth Bale, who finds space on the penalty spot again and slams home into the roof of the net. That's his first Premier League hat-trick.
19:16 SUBSTITUTION Aston Villa are delighted as Gareth Bale comes off - Andros Townsend takes his place.
